AOL information/help
One of my rare non pot stirring posts, I hope.
Since the dawn of time, I have used AOL as my Internet address, my ISP I guess you call it and so on. I also have Firefox, which works really well but I have my AOL addie spread out to so many thousands of business contacts as well as forums such as this one that I really cannot leave AOL.
Problem:.............
AOL has a feature called "Favorites" which is "Bookmark" for most other similar ISPs.
I have talked to India so many times, trying to find out how to organize that feature, either alphabetically or otherwise and they keep telling me that this is not possible.
Further, as I add "Favorites", AOL seems to randomly insert the new "Favorite" wherever it wants to and in many cases, re-organizes the existing "Favorites", changing the order from where I have dragged them into my preferred order.
Way back when, each new "Favorite" would be inserted at the very end of the list and then I could drag it to where it matched similar interests. That does not seem to work anymore.
This is driving me nuts, as I have several hundred of these sites in my list now and I hate to keep scrolling through the whole list trying to find a site that I may have booked a year or four ago.
I know a lot of you folks are a lot more savvy about how to make things work on the internet than I am and am asking if anyone here knows how to manipulate the AOL "Favorites" feature.
Thanks for any help you may be able to offer and a very Happy New Year to all.
Bill

I'm guessing you're talking about the built in browser in AOL???
I have never had AOL so I'm not sure about this, but all of the differnet browsers I have ever used, there was always some kind of "sort" method in the right-click menu.
So, open up the favorites list, get your mouse cursor inside the list, and right-click. What are the options available when you do this?

Bill, go get a real ISP. You can keep your AOL e-mail address and check your mail at www.aol.com.
Converting favorites will cost you 30 bucks.

Save your favorites to the pfc, this software will bring them into IE, then you can import those into Firefox.
