what toyota guys think

i was bored the other night and looked around at other truck forums. i came along a tundra forum and figured it would be nice to learn something about those trucks. i read some funny stuff. we all saw the video of the truck test on the ford site. i guess since big rigs have frame twist its good for small trucks to have it also. and the bad handling with a load is ok because it makes for a nice ride. and our trucks are dangerously slow and cannot merge onto highways. idk about you guys but my truck is stock and i have had no problem getting into 70mph traffic. yes i am sure the tundra is a fast truck, but if i wanted a fast truck i would of bought a lightning. and if anyone has ever been in one they feel veryyyyyyyyy cheap. no thanks. there was also some polls on the site and even on a tundra site is was almost 50/50 if they would buy another. guess dashboard rattles and other cheap things will do that. seems to me if ford had a little peppier motor it would help. but then again they already sell the most trucks no? oh and i also read where guys think the 150 can only go 70k before it dies. i laughed at that one. i am sure there was more but thats all i can remember. enjoy the weekened guys

my truck may be slow, but with a 4.6, 3.55 gears, and 35in tires it still merges into traffic fine... i'm not sure where people even get this idea.

The Toyotas may have more power and be faster, but the mileage just plain sucks!!

This summer when we went to northern Wisconsin for our yearly ATV trip I was towing a 4 place snowmobile trailer with 5 wheelers on it and the bed loaded with coolers, food, clothes. So I ended up having around 4500lbs extra (4000lbs behind the truck and about 500 lbs in the bed), I averaged 13.4mpg on the way up and 13.5mpg on the way home. A guy that was with us has a newer Tundra 5.7L crew cab 4wd. He told me that he got 13.5mpg on his way up and his truck was totally empty, other than him and his clothes. He also said that the best mileage that he had ever seen was just under 15mpg. I also heard from another guy that owns a newer Tundra, that he has never broke over 15 mpg.

I will take my "slow and under powered" truck any day over a Tundra, and I wouldn't think twice about it.

Did you just watch that Top Gear video of the review on the Right Hand Drive Lightning? While drunk?!

Looks like it.

Gee.... if F150s are really that slow... they why are there more F150s on the road than 'Yoda's ever made in their entire manufacturing plant?

Toyota forums are irritatingly funny. I've been banned from a few too many times.

Nobody matches the quality of Ford & Nissan IMO.

Is that Nitro powered or electric?

Caught me off guard... I really thought it was real... until I had a double take and the aspect ratio to the truck of everything didn't make sense. Good photography skills...

Just curious, are the majority of the Tundra owners first time truck owners?

Last time I checked a real truck test is hauling stuff and towing trailers. Not 0-60s like most Ricers solve their underpowered arguments.
