I would think there won't be much of a fight. Walk in the courtroom and show the judge and he'll probably crumple it up and toss it. What sucks is you have to take time out of your day to do it.
well the ticket is $75 so im assuming i don't go to court i just go and pay it, so i gotta figure out how to fight it. and with my luck ill get charged a paper work fee or court cost for fighting it. i can see my tread pattern on my truck perfectly, all brake lights are lit up so im pissed i gotta waste all my time on something stupid.

Probably wouldn't hurt to walk into a local police station and show it to them and see if they have any advise. Or email them. Other than that I have no idea. I never got one in the mail. The wife used to always get speeding tickets in the mail but she was always guilty so she just mailed the check in.
IMO, tickets shouldn't be controlled autonomisly (sp?) and given out like vending machines do. If the cops are too lazy to get out there and give tickets, it's their own fault. Best of luck fighting it.
The way you fight it is, you call the courthouse where u pay the ticket set it up for ur day in court show the judge ur case if he dismisses it then u dont pay no court fee, but if you lose you have to pay the ticket and the court fee, i lucked out every time i fought one of my speeding tickets, the officer never showed up to court so the ticket was dismissed. But if you think u will win the case i would go for fighting it
well for my last ticket, before you go in the court room they bring you to the da? i think thats who she was. and you plead guilty or not and they gave you your options so they didn't have to waste the court rooms time. ill call up early next week and see if i can just run by and have the case dismissed. i agree with raptor, if cops are too lazy or busy to get out there and do their job then people shouldn't recieve ticket. im not calling cops lazy by an means im just saying tickets should be given in person in embarrasing situations on the side of the road not in the privacy of your home

$75 is nothing. $380 here in Los Angeles. If the red light has a camera, it most likely has video too. And, people can have their brake lights on and still be rolling. Just because the camera was good enough to show your tread pattern while moving does not mean the only conclusion is that you were stopped. Just throwing some thoughts out there.
I would read the ticket and it will tell you how to fight it. Or, call the court. For regular vehicle code violations, you have a good chance of the officer not showing up. On the other hand, when I have been in court and there are red light tickets, the officer is always there because there are a lot of people trying to fight them.

i honestly don't think i did. i do not run red lights. and if i am cutting it close on a yellow i am WOT not braking. if i knew i was guilty i wouldn't start a thread, if a had a scanner that worked id scan it in and show the photo. but you see the white line (which i am behind) my brake lights on. so i am gonna fight it. $75 isn't alot i agree, but that $75 is parts for one of my trucks.

I was just laughing. But I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you if I cut it close at a stoplight a month ago. But it seems it would have to be a very high speed camera to catch the tire tread.
Last year or sometime ago I got a speeding ticket, so I decided to take the time to go to court just to see if I could get out of it. That Courtroom was so crowded I just paid it and left, after about an hour of waiting. The Judge didn't even show up during the time I was there.
Coincidentally it don't even show on my record.

I would fight it. That being said, though, those red-light ticketing issues were addressed by the Ohio Supreme Court---and, even though it is a blatant money-making scheme, they were ruled constitutional. I would be interested to see if that would hold up in your state, as well.
