Sorry Guys... I bought a Toyota
how much did you pick that yota up for? what engine is in it? the older toyota engines are incredible engines. long life and great for offroading. i know the 4 bangers and the straight six (f and 2f) can lug around at such low rpms on trails its crazy and make good torque for the engine size
Blown head gaskets or the harness for the fuel injection being ran close to the exhaust and melting. Also it uses a timing belt instead of a chain. Only real drawbacks to those motors. I've owned several Toyotas and been wheeling them for years. Heres a pic of the last one I had

thats part 3 of the top gear.
that thing survived being sunk in the ocean, fire, being hit with a wrecking ball, trailer being dropped on it, running thru a small building, and part 3 its on top of a 240ft tall building that they blow up and the thing is still drivable.

I'm honestly jealous - I'd love to have a truck to tool around with like that right now
My neighbor has an older Toy - late 80's early 90s 4x4. It's rusty around the rear fenders and looks like.... well.... a turd
But I've been eyeing it up and I think after winter I'm going to see if he'd be interested in selling it or, when he wants to, he gives me first shot. It's a sweet little truck and I'd love to have one for a "project" truck. Have fun with them - they are a blast to goof around in and last a lot longer than most trucks
