I've gotten many friends online over the past few years and if they have kids in the house, I advise all of them to keep the computer in the family room with the screen facing out so everybody can see what's going on.

I also teach them how to check the cache and cookies so they know what their kids are doing. The kids are not allowed to empty the cache or delete any cookies. If they do, they lose their computer privileges.

The main thing, though, is to maintain communications with their kids and to take an interest in what they're doing.

 

Everytime I tell somebody that I met Mudder on the net they give me this look and either ask if we have met or if i was scared.
I actually left my last (2.5 year long) relationship for Mudder. I no longer found the high school drop-out who would not even stop smoking pot for me desirable. (Hey, I had a lot of tolerance for him.) In the 2.5 years that we were together he lived only 9 miles from house and has only stepped through my doorway 5 times. Only been around my parents twice (refused to go to my house so he could avoid my mom). Makes me mad just thinking about it.
And the relationship before that....I won't even go there. The selection of boyfriends were I grew up was pretty pathetic.
Anyway, how time flies. Its getting close to a year of knowing Mudder.

Yep, and now she has me, we've never been happier Time has sure flown by, but it was a great year in 99, and it's only gonna get better.

Pony, I know what you mean selection is pretty rough around here too......Thats why I have stayed with the rent to own program...Given two of them back so far. Still renting the Tamster but I remember where the return desk is.....

Dave, think about that again. We have four between us, yes, but I count George TWICE (he's quite a big doggie, no?). And we need a maid AND a babysitter...unless we take Sean's advice and fill the bed of your truck with them...hmmmm, with that lid shut we might not even hear them yelling from upstairs! Then we'll only have 2 whining to be let in...that would be George.

Tell ya what Sean...you might have a deal there BUT I think what you need FIRST is PRACTICE...Dave and I will be GLAD to loan you our collective FOUR...it would be hard to be without them but we could make the sacrifice for friendship Make sure you stock up on Pokemon paraphernalia, RED soft drinks, towels (for when they spill the soda on the carpet), earplugs (for yourself) and soap (for my youngest son's mouth because he's learned some "special" words lately - I think that's Dave's fault).
