Question

Did you unplug & replug them in ?
Did you take them out & put the originals back in & try the high beams with those ?
If the orig. bulbs work on high, & when you put the superwhites in & they don't, it may be the bulbs ?
Try it & then contact the Man in the store to see what his thoughts are.

I tried that. I had one factory bulb in and one suprewhite in and the superwhite still did not work. I've been messin with it for the last hour, have no clue what to do, guess I'll call Roger up or something.

But I just sent you an email Sean, hoping you may know what's wrong since you have the same bulbs.

mudder...

If you get yours to work..let me know how much brighter they are over the factory bulbs. I thought about getting some if they are better.

Thanks!

Lightbulb

Mudder, I've been running the super whites for the last 3 months.I had to do something, my 2000 lights sucked, what did Ford do to these headlights since 97?
Ford sure has really taken alot of the good out of these trucks since 97, to many to name, but anyone who's on their second truck (97) and up probably sees this too..
Hope you get another set of those super whites,Roger will take care of you.....I hope...

Yeah, Roger is a great guy. He stands behind his products he sells ! Only the best !
Speaking of headlights, when I was at the SEMA show in vegas with Roger Lemere & Darin from San Diego, we saw some of the new "True HID" lights that FORD has put on their trucks at the show.

You can see them on my site http://communities.msn.com/SS97FordsPics
"JOIN" up & join some more of us F150online people too while you are there !

Go to the 99 SEMA show pics page & look at the Rooster & the F-150 Scuba trucks for an example. I think Roger said we can buy the kit, but it's something like $1,000.00 to do it. Too rich for my blood for headlights ! The superwhites do just fine for me !

Cool

Well, they're legal here in Canada, but not sure in your state. I've had them in for about a month now and..... What a difference !! Get 'em if you can !!

BTW.... Sorry to hear about your high beam problem, but hard to believe BOTH new bulbs would be defective. You did get 9007s not 9004s???

Asking if these "bright whites" are legal, I haven't had anyone give the "brights" to me and when I first put them in I pulled up behind my wifes car (Sebring) and they set low. she said she saw no difference, not like alot of other, mostly foreign cars, do to her mirrors.

Maybe a 4X4 would throw the beam higher, but set them down, with all the light they project, I don't really see any problems.
Police where I live will pull you over in a heart beat (Chevy talk) and I've driven by all of them and they haven't even looked at me.
These super whites seem to spread out the light to the sides a whole lot better, so you can see the side of the road...What's your take Mudder??
I know the blue bulbs will cause you problems, count of there blue haze and not like the clear white.
Just MO.

Well... the package they come in says "For Off Road Use Only". I have not been stopped. They do not appear to be a problem with other motorist's or policemen that I have passed. I do not know why the manuafacturer had to put this disclaimer on the package. It could be a DOT thing or just a lack of submitting for approval on their part. I like em so much I am taking the chance. If stopped I plan to act ignorant (not so much a stretch for me!) and say "well those are what it had in em when I got it. Sorry officer I will look into that!" I figure if Mercedes and VW can put em in I should be able too as well. This is America after all!
