The name of these super whites is Wizard parts# 9007 12v 100/80 watts, made in Korea.
Cphilip, I think your right on not DOT approved, parts guy I deal with says they all say "off road use only", that keeps them from any law suits.
I know that Sylvania and Philips have these bulbs, and are just waiting to get them approved.
I am with you , if I get stopped, just act STUPID`!

Question

frog...

"I've stopped more than a few for failure to dim headlamps"...are you a police officer?

Thumbs up

I was not trying to make any comments on cops....I looked at your profile and did not see anything to this effect listed. I assumed you were a cop or someone who was very brave. That's all.

I have been seriously thinking of getting these...but if I am going to be constantly pulled over...then I will just stick with my factory bulbs. Your post got me thinking that these might cause more problems than they are worth.

That's basically what I meant. No cop bashing intended...you guys aren't all that bad!

The bulbs that I got aren't illegal and shouldn't cause a problem. You should go ahead and get them, they are great.

Hey Mudder,

Please let us know how you like them after having had them for a while, & if you find that you are getting pulled over more than normal with the new lights. I'm interested in getting some as well, but haven't talked myself into it yet...
