The Beer's Prayer
Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk, (I will be drunk),
At home as it is in the pub.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillage's,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer, The bitter and The lager.
For ever and ever.
BARMEN.

HOW TO IMPRESS A WOMAN:
Compliment her, cuddle her,
kiss her, caress her,
love her, stroke her,
tease her, comfort her,
protect her, hug her,
hold her, spend money on her,
wine & dine her, buy things for her,
listen to her, care for her,
stand by her, support her,
go to the ends of the earth for her....

HOW TO IMPRESS A MAN:

Show up naked!

Bring beer!

Hey Pastmaster,

Heineken is a dutch brand.
I read, it is so expensive in the US.
What does it cost in the US?
I am not drinking alcohol.
Coca Cola is what I drink.

Here in Holland Heineken costs:
10 US dollars per 24 bottles of 0.33 liter.
Coca Cola Light is 0.40 US Dollar per can of 0.33 liter.(1/10 of a gallon)

Acronym:Heineken

Hij En Ik Nemen Elke Keer Een Nieuwe.

Translated that is:He and I are taking a new one every time.

Hey F150Europe! Cool! I'm not sure about the cost of Heinekein. But I did know about Coke over there. I work for CCE here in America, and I get magazines from Europe that tell prices all over the world. Do you have a F-150 over there?

Now here's a topic I can drink to! I have been "homebrewing" my own beer for about 6 years now. I have a recipe catalog of over 60 beers that I have made, some, 2 or 3 times. There a literally hundreds of beer styles from all over the world. This is because of the different hops, and yeast strains produced around the world, as well as the different grains (wheat, barley ect.)

Presentation is key! Although an ice cold beer can be refreshing on a hot day, so can a glass of ice water! To get the full flavor of beer, it should not be served ice cold. 40 to 50 degrees is optimal. Even the type of glass can contribute to a fuller enjoyment of the beer. Wide brim Chalis type for wheat or Lambic, tall pear shape for pilsner and traditional pint glasses for stouts and heavier beers ect.

My personal favorite is a highly hopped English bitter type of beer. A good comercial example of this is Red Hook ESB (extra special bitter) I usually have some LaBatts on hand for friends who don't care for my homebrews.

Man! talk about your soapbox eh?

Jim

Hmmm...let's see. J.W. Dundee's Honey Brown is great. Shiner Bock good too. If I'm in the mood for a dark it'll either be Guiness Stout or St. Pauli Girl. HOWEVER...

...there is this little microbrewery in Fredericksburg Texas that makes THE most OUTSTANDING Dunkel-Weisen...oh...time for a road trip!!!
