My outside weather rig says 11... Being on of the select few in oklahoma that was raised driving a zamboni, I wish we would get some snow, grapple, sleet, freezing rain,... anything. But, typical Central OK Low Temps, High Winds and no moisture in sight.

Few inches of precip at these temps and OKC goes on lockdown!

We're getting freezing drizzle in the DFW area now. Bridges are getting dicey. Only reason the roads aren't getting icy is the temp a day and a half ago was 80*. It's 21* now.

It was -10 this morning when I started my truck and that wasnt even counting the wind chill. Well off to the parts store to get some better anti gel for the diesel fuel. My truck barely got me to work this morning it was so cold.

8F right now and snowing. still have school though.

one thing im upset is i have a new emblem overylay for my truck, but it should only be applied at room temperature (55-75) and my truck doesnt fit in any room. so im gonna have to wait for a major heat wave or the spring to apply it.

So my Nephew moved to Dallas over the summer and call my wife last night and asked her
"How do you drive on Ice?" (He grew up in Arizona)

and she tells him
"Well, you put these little skids, kinda like skis under the car.. . She kept him going for aobut 10 mins before he realized she was messing with him.. It was classic.....

Freezing Fog

Suppose it is foggy outside and the temperature is 30 F. Fog tends to not produce measurable precipitation by itself but it can still wet and moisten objects. In the case of freezing fog, the fog cloud droplets are supercooled. When a droplet contacts an object below freezing it will turn to ice. When only freezing fog occurs, there will be just about as much freezing of the fog droplets onto surfaces as there will be sublimation from the surface, thus there is not much accumulation of ice. Often freezing fog will be accompanied with freezing drizzle. In that case, a film of ice will coat surfaces.

Ice fog is a fog composed of tiny ice crystals. In the ice fog situation the temperature is becoming too cold for only supercooled water to occur. Ice fog will only be witnessed in cold Arctic / Polar air. Generally the temperature will be 14 F or colder in order for ice fog to occur.
