Yes, I am not BSing you. The high in Austin Tx was 81 today, and then at around 11 o'clock, it freaking snows. WTF? Tell me this is not crazy. We are talking about a 50 degree swing. Someone call Algore...we need an explanation. The Farmers Almanac DID predict this. They said it was going to be one of the coldest winters ever.

Thumbs up

Snow. I love it, being a displaced Eskimo.

Yes, it was in the 80's yesterday. Right now it's 33 degrees. Awesome!

It's 26 here this morning with a 20 mph wind. I like the cold temp, but could do without the wind.

I'm in Bastrop going thru wildland firefighter training this week. Last night around 8:30 when I headed out to get dinner my windshield was pelted with ice and snow. We were outside yesterday morning getting blocks of instruction and demonstrations in short sleeves and the weather was good but around noon things began to change drastically. By the end of the training day the winds were gusting and the temp had plunged by more than 35*.

It went from 6 to 62 here in the last day or so. Weird weather. Very windy too.

I grew up around Austin. I've seen the same thing happen. We used to call it a Blue Norther.

Much appreciated Shines.

Yup, it's not always the cold that'll kill ya. If the cold doesn't, the wind will.

Blue; I bet your 26 degree temps with 20 mph winds made it more like 18.

The temperature here right now is a balmy -1C but -7 with the wind chill, and by this afternoon it's supposed to be -5. Tonight it's going to drop to -10, but if there is any wind it'll be more like -18.

Just north of Toronto is getting hammered with snow right now. It's snowing on and off right now just west of the city.
