Todays high in Austin Tx...81, and it snows...
It's not that cold brotha. 32 F is 0 C, correct? 0 F is actually -17 C.
One winter we went up to Temagami Ontario for some outpost icefishing. The warmest day we had (just happened to hit a cold snap) was -32C, not including windchill. Those were painful snowmobile trips in and out.

Puts hair on your chest that's for sure. That, and you kinda need it to keep warm!
I've been in Banff when it's been -40 WITHOUT a windchill. Went skiing at Sunshine and it was -10 by the time we got to the top of the mountain.

It was a nice 14*F with a 15mph wind walking to class this morning at 7:30. It doesnt bother me that it's that cold, it bothers me that this weekend it was 55* and I went on a bike ride in shorts and a t-shirt.
Just remember, the Kansas motto holds true for most of the midwest, "If you dont like the weather, wait a day."

I realize that, and that is why I was explaining that the C numbers you're hearing are not as cold as you may think.
Now get with the rest of the world, will ya?

Who's the red headed step child?
I'll admit, I still use mpg, lb's, and inches, but I feel dirty doing it.
Happened here too before... I remember 1 year ago, it was 75* in December. I was unloading firewood at my boss's house from his truck, thinking man, why didn't I wear shorts today?
Next morning it snowed 4".
Global warming I tell ya.
