It has been pointed out to me that I used a term without knowing it that was racist to some people when I described the guy who parked in the "handicap" parking space outside the hockey arena. I want to say that the term has a very different meaning up here in Canada and has no connection to race whatsoever. If I offended anybody in the US, I do apologize.

Please understand that when we communicate on the Internet with the whole world, we are going to get situations where the same words mean different things.

I'm responding to someone [you know who you are] that posted a topic on sunday, where I made a reply. I just want you to know I was not judging you. I felt (later) that my reply, although in defense of those would be offended, seemed a little judgmental on you. That was not my intent, and I did get your joke about the chevy guy and all, but I just thought that with almost 3,000 members, this would "hit" some one pretty hard. I went back to edit my reply and found you deleted the topic before (hopefully) that happened. I apppriciate all the participants on this site and don't want to see any one (execpt for the REAL trouble makers, that have been banned) feeling not welcome here.

To you and shifter and all the others that have excerised your intelligence in this way, you have my respect. Thank you!
