its time for us ford truck fans to start recognizing, and respecting other trucks. i am only eferring to the gm trucks, as in my opinion, are the only ones that deserve it. first off, my background: ive owned my share of gm trucks. a 97 sierra z-71. 98 silverado z-71. 01 silverado z-71. 02 s10 2wd. i currently own a 02 f150 fx4. my first ford truck, and am VERY happy with it. i grew up in a chevy/gmc household, my dad is a gm employee at fort wayne, Indianas silverado/seirra 1/2 ton truck plant. i just want to post this because most of you who bash gm trucks, have probably never owned one... as i used to bash ford tucks before i owned one.. fact of the matter is this: gm builds a great truck. so does ford. the proof is in the numbers...

i am NOT trying to convert anyone! i love my truck and wont buy another gm truck. all im saying is this: (BTW, who that has responded has owned anything other than a ford?) just give credit when credits due. thats all. FORD TRUCKS FOR LIFE. but im not ignorant.

pontiac, sobb, volvo, nissan, toyota, and acura. I've had friends with dodge's and gm's and they both have had major issues with them. The only four brands that haven't been a complete POS are sobb, nissan, acura, and FORD. My family currently owns 3 fords (My f150 and stang), a nissan altima, and an acura TL.

 

I've owned two. Both had mechanical problems, and that's an understatement. I paid 2 grand for an ESP on the second one and claimed 8 grand. It still wasn't fixed properly when I got rid of it once the warranty expired.
I knew the mechanics at my local GM dealer on a first name basis I was there so often.

i agree... and i already watched it. earlier today as a matter of fact. i know fords are the best. but deep down, do you really think gm cant build a capable truck???
