Wink step sides needed desperately for soon to be Mommy!

Okay, Here's the problem...I am finding it increasingly more difficult to "hop" into my truck these days but cannot find step sides or anything in that category for under $300. This cannot be! I tried the local auto store, special ordered them only to find that they ones ordered were backordered indefinately. The boy will be here before the step sides will! Anyone with an idea on where to find inexpensive (very key) steps for my 1998 F150 extended cab?

Welcome itsaboy!
Are you looking for running boards or actual steps?
The reason I ask is my wife refers to running boards as steps.
If you are looking for running boards check "apperance products" forum.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am looking for anything that can get me up and in behind the wheel short of a step ladder.

Checked where you suggested but came up with the fancy-pants, real expensive stuff. Just looking for Plain Jane for now, with baby on the way need to keep the budget low.

Thanks again!

Give these guys a call for the nerf bars, they usually have good prices. I think they carry the "Grizzly" brand bars. If I remember the Ford bars from the dealer were $285 when I had my 4X4. www.truckaccessorycenter.com/ie.html

I would say lower that truck, but the cost is a little out of range. I think that DAVENSA has the most cost effective solution.

Good luck..

It'saboy: Congradulations on the soon to arrive baby boy. I'm guessing it's your first??
Is your truck a 4x4?
The U shaped step sounds like about the cheapest way to go. You can also get those from auto parts supply stores like Advance Auto and AutoParts. Also try places like Walmart!!! I actually ordered my BetterBuilt nerf bars from Walmart at a substantualy reduced price than what they were listed on the BetterBuilt site. Good luck

itsaboy!, I'm in Chesapeake,Va. and looked all over the Tidewater Area and Northeast NC for "Nerf Bars" type steps. Cheapest place I found was rigt on my coumputer at: http://www.accessconnect.com/index.htm
Check them out, free shipping on orders over $100. Shipping from some other sights was $30.
