Stupid Question...Perhaps

What happened to the thread from yesterday or thereabouts about whites not having to have a guilt complex anymore???

My PC has been down for a few days due to a remodel of my home office and I was not able to respond and all of a sudden it went away.

I monitor the Forum from my shop but rarely respond from there and when I got home tonight, the thread seemed to have gone away and I had not seen anything up to yesterday that would have called for a lock or a complete redaction.

Did I miss something

Most threads that contain any possiblity of becoming a debate in this forum are often deleted without reason. BTW I am offended of your use of the term "whites". Please say Caucasians or I will sue.

For what it is worth, I only wanted to comment on the theory of "Meritocracy" which I may have not spelled correctly.

I don't think the author really meant it that way, but I took it that Obama made his way in the world from rather humble and difficult beginnings and now is the President Elect of the United States.

Given the rest of the article, it was a lot of tripe and I think the author may wish he had not used the word.

Where I wanted to go is that you can get somewhere through Entitlement Programs or you can get there through hard work and study, regardless of your ethnic or whatever background.

Since the thread apparently was deleted, I guess it was not so important.

Though you like to continually express your discontent every time a thread is deleted, your opinion about thread deletion is far from just.

I don't think a suspension for a rick roll is very just either, but that's each of our own opinions.

As I see it there are three ways to "Get There."
Since you already covered 2 for give me assuming...
The third is to be born "already there" from a wealthy family... or would you include that in the Entitlement Programs?

What did you think of the First female 4 star general named yesterday?
They say she broke the brass ceiling for females. Males usually lead combat commands before being chosen. Women still are not supposed to be in direct combat yet as military doctrine goes.

What do you think of the first sometimes being the only?
The token...

You (and others) may think rickrolls are all fun and games, but in the real world misleading web links get people in trouble.

It's your own fault for getting rickrolled if you're at work. Shouldn't you be, um... I dunno. Working?

Since he may not be on today, I will offer his defense or otherwise enlighten. While at work he is only on during his break and meal times. They have computers for them to get on during that time, but they are still emplyer controlled computers. He still has to avoid questionable sites.

My opinion of the rick roll is that it is just rude and annoying behavior. It might be funny on a general chat site where you would expect just about anything to be considered a fun joke, but not on this type of site.

FWIW, no suspensions were issued for Rick Roll'ing; only a stern warning with the preface that they will be dismissed for further posting of garbage of that flavor.

Please post it on one of the 'other' sites if you enjoy it, think it's humorous and want to be a yutz. We don't/won't tolerate it here.

Wasn't directing that at Stealth per say, merely pointing out that one shouldn't be going to "questionable" sites while at work.

Ok, gotcha, but just to say it again, but a little differently, this site should not be condsidered a questionable site, it should be work safe under most normal definitions. That is what we as moderators are trying to maintain.
