Motortrend first test: 2008 Tundra Supercharged

0-60 in 4.4 seconds
1/4 in 13.0 @ 106.3 MPH

Imagine how fast it would be on a set of proper slicks?

Time to change your name to WantsASuperchargedToyotaTundra. While the numbers are impressive, who really cares, it's still a POS toyota

Is it just me, or does that styling look an awful lot like the POS Dodge?

Doesn't matter how fast it is...

Obviously, since you clicked on the thread, and made enough effort to post in it too.

Its sad that over half the post in here already are about "I have such a Ford boner I cant even stand to look at another truck" Jump on him just because he said something other than Ford??? K.

Now the truck. 4.4 0-60 for a full sized truck right out of the factory is pretty impressive. 500 HP right outta the box, props to Toyota for putting out a beast. Dump the heavy **** 22s for some smaller, lighter wheels and good rubber and its in the 12s. Im into performance, so I have to say, as for that part of it, its pretty cool. Ive never seen a reg. cab Tundra either, this one actually looks 'ok' Front end is still but ugly, but the proportions arent to bad.
Now that doesnt go without saying that a friend of mine has a 4 door Tundra 4x4 and I am less than impressed with it. Its quick, thats all it has going for it. Weak, poorly designed all around, crappy interior, etc. Its a car with a bed.

Quick everyone, I said something positive about something other than a Ford. Hurry up and flame me, I must be a troll OMG!!!!!!!

SMIGGS?

Subscribing, because I'm waiting for SMIGGS to kick in here, although, Bartak may have beaten him to it in this case.

Yeah I know, we haven't had one of those arguments in a good amount of time. Althought.. my sig may be a weak point for defending Ford...

The new BOSS block is capable of 7.5L. What happens when SVT decides to build the next gen Lightning is the question?

No, you're right. It is impressive for what it is and congratulations should go out to Toyota for bringing something like this to the market in these current times.
Would I consider buying one or trading my Ford? Well, no. If I had that sort of money and wanted that sort of truck, I'd probably buy the nicest 03/4 Lightning I could find for 20k and spend 25k on mods to it which would make it a hell of a performer.
I personally don't like the style of the Toyota but in saying that, I don't like the style of the 09 F150 either. I thing the new SVT Raptor is hideous.

If I was in the market for a new 2 door truck right now, I thing this is the best looking truck out there. The 09 Ram R/T.
Look I'm trolling too
