Congrats to EVERY US citizen. I know coming from a Canadian that means squat.

I find it ironic that some here complain about the "troubled times" the US is going to be in with Obama as Prez. My question to them is:

" Have you been living in a hole for the past 4 years?" What has the outlook been for the past 2 years? I can tell you from the outside looking in, is that this slap in the a** is what the US and hell, the world needed.

Don't be so cinical when it comes to change. Consider yourselves blessed that you guys actually had 2 qualified men to vote for. I know here, we only had one.

This a very true statement. It is this way in Michigan with our moley Gov Jenny Granholm. She has done nothing to improve this state and has acually ran it into the ground, but all you here from her and all her liberal camp is it is all Englers (past Gov 8 years ago) fault. Even the liberal on the street still thinks this way.
I can easily see it being the same way for Omomba.

I guess I will sit back and wait for the tax man come.

Lots of bigots on thissite... You get used to it after a while...

As a former enlisted, [b[I'm[/b] ashamed that a military person could be ashamed (or agree with such a statement) that a black man, with that being his only crime to date, won the presidency with 64 MILLION votes... Popular & electoral...

That should tell you something...

What continously baffles me is how forgieners act like they have some sort of right to tell Americans how to act. I, sir, have not been living in a hole. It is really sad for outsiders to judge the most generous country on the globe. Only America continues to fight for right and freedom across the globe. That will end. Good luck to all.

If anything was to happen to Canada the first thing you would do is coming running to your daddy, America. Just like the rest of the world.

It is America that keeps terrorists in check and the world as safe as we can, so why don't you keep your opinions to your self and show the greatest country that God gave man, some God damn respect.

For me it doesnt have a thing to do with color.

It is all about policies and beliefs and past action that make me worry.

For now though he is my prez and and I will except that, I will live my life as I always have.

Hersh, if you think that most of us that have opposed him think his only "crime" is being black, then you have not read what we have said or you have much poorer reading comprehension than I realized. The great majority of those on this site that have opposed him are scared of where he will take this country and that has next to nothing to do with his skin.

I will say with Obama Prez it will make more people racist by default.

I have several black friends that would say if I didnt vote for Obama I was a racist. I found this statement to be troubling. I thing this will be the feeling of many that if you dont agree with Obamas policies or his ideas you will be a racist by default.

I thought sharing your opinions, right or wrong, was what this board was all about. I guess I was wrong.

Your more than welcome to share your opinoins, but don't for a second think that you can judge us from the outside, when the USA does more for the world before breakfast than Canada has since its conceptioin.

How am I telling Americans how to act? So I take it you voted for McCain?

Kudos to your country for being so generous. But your country IS NOT the only one that goes out of "it's" way in aiding the rest of the world.

Not really, seeing we haven't, of late, posed any threat to any other nation. We would seek "daddy" for help? You bet, but what do you think would happen to YOUR country if something would to happen to us. You might be interested in finding out who your #1 trading partner may be. You may not want to realize it, but "you" depend on "us" much more than you think.

BTW, there are more "foriegn" countries standing beside the US in this war and they are also having soliders die in the name of freedom.

I have the upmost respect for the US, to bad you can't see that there is another world outside "your" Country that could use your respect.

Maybe I'm not to far off with my living in a hole comment. In regards to you anyway.......

Get a grip.

It has nothing to do with who I voted for.

Don't worry we wont let anything happen to our #1 trading partner ( I did know that BTW).

I know so here ya go, the only countries that havn't pulled all their troops out yet are the UK and Australia, who have a combined in country force of 4,400. Want to know how many America has? 144,000. It pisses me off that the UN drafts 17 resolutions to invade and the USA is the one left to clean up the mess and PAY ALL THE BILLS.

I think we should get the respect for everything we do. Thats my beef. We do far more than any other country and everyone still hates us and thinks we need to be nicer to everyone and spread the wealth.
