Guess what, nobody cares.

Back to the OP, a LinkSys WRT54G is a solid router. It's relatively cheap too, and mine has held up for over 5 years. It's never let me down.

I have the WRT54GS model, and it has performed well so far for a year. I get great signal with my xbox anywhere in my house, and it has 128 bit encryption.

I had a Stink-sys router and it died almost to the day that the warranty expired.

Then I bought a netgear at BB for 69 bucks. Lightening got that one about a year or more after I got it. I was pleased to find that same router for sale at the BB for 39 bucks.

I think you meant Time Capsule (but I've done so much work for them I know what you mean), Well its cool also but a little bit of a waste of money ($499) unless your looking for all those things in one or if its really needed. Works well with Time Machine. Now that I think about it again. You can do alot with ($499), Time Capsule is a ripoff.

Linksys. I've used them for about 7 years now with no problems. I upgraded to a new model last year.

You just have to open the Xbox Live ports (TCP Ports 88, 3074 and UDP Port 3074) in the Linksys menu. Just google it, or check out www.portforward.com.

This Linksys is the most versatile router out there:

This is a WRT54GL - this particular model is built for hobbyists. It has the capability to load 3rd party firmware on it for all kinds of advanced abilities. It works fine with stock Linksys firmware, and is very well made.

I've had a Buffalo wireless router for a while and it has been absolutely perfect. I believe it to be similar to the Linksys routers.
