Computer Virus Help!
Yeah, you know how to mount an ISO? And do you need a legit copy? As in your have a key? If not shoot me a PM.
Obviously PCs still dominate the computer world, but Mac is not as rare as you may think whether you want to believe it or not. if you did research on current Mac use, you would see it is growing, and has been since 2007. it is probably a couple of decades away from catching up with PC.
Also, do you know how MASSIVE of an advancement in computer technology happens in two decades? Think about it. In 1988, top of the line processors were 20MHz. My CPU runs at 3000MHz stock. Plus it has FOUR cores instead of just one. Computers are over 1000 times faster today than they were two decades ago. In 1988, the top of the line computer had 12MB of RAM. Nowadays 4096MB (4GB) is pretty common. Not to mention higher clock speeds and lower latencies in the RAM. Hard drives ranged from 100MB to 300MB, that's not even enough space for Windows XP. Just imagine going back two decades in computer technology. It's mind boggling how fast computer science advances. That is a MASSIVE amount of ground to just magically make up ha.
If you applied this rapid of advancement to say... a Rolls Royce. Today it would cost about a hundred bucks, get over 500MPG, be 100 times as fast and you'd have to update it every 6 months.
Nope, not a generalization because I used the term "pretty much". Good game.

What about a scroll wheel?

EDIT: Here's another article I thought was a good read.

Good luck
8 BUTTONS! i wouldnt want that mouse. i already said that i dont see many "older" people using mac. but what about 5-10 years when everyone who is in college is still using mac, and the kids in college have them. it will be growing in the next decade. i like the mac set up much more than windows. but i do like how vista was set up over the old xp. it seems that vista is getting set up a little like mac. im not saying its close to the same, copied, its just a better platform than the older windows. the control button gives you about 10 choices to use when you click on what you want. so your not just getting copy, cut, paste, delete. im not bashing windows at all, mac IMO just seems to be a better platform for MY needs. but now that apple has stores nationwide i expect their sales to keep growing.

I also work on Macs. I've been repairing, installing and configuring for years throughout the NYC school system. Macs are not immune to viruses. The only way I can put this is that when people want to do harm their looking to affect a lot of people and this is propbably the reason that Macs dont see as many viruses as Windows. As more and more people get them they will encounter the same situation as Windows users. As of right now they just dont dominate the market. Even some business that have macs will have a Windows backbone. I may shoot myself in the foot for this one but Active Directory is a little better than Open Directory.
