The ones they steal are like 97-03. I'm pretty sure they didn't have PATS, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Maybe the XL models. I think all the higher end models from those years had PATS. But then I could be wrong There are ways around PATS... an electronic frequency box that randomly puts out frequencies... but thugs don't have that tech.. high end thiefs do.

who the hell would steal a 95 civic 94 sentra or 91 accord? IF i was to go out and steal a car, i might as well go find the best dam looking car on the road. i mean where are the standards for modern day thiefs!

Its all about parts. Those are some of the most popular vehicles, so they can sell the parts easier.

F-150's have them from '99 & up.

I'm not sure when they put them on F-250's. My '01 F-250 doesn't have it.

My 2000 F150 XL has PATS which gets me a small discount on my yearly insurance.

Yeah so that's exactly why the most popular one is listed as a '97, it doesn't have PATS.
