I can't post the link here because of the language and nudity (all in fun, of course) but find The Great Shlep.com and watch Sara Silverman urge Jewish Grandchildren to go down to Florida and get their Grandparents to vote.

It is funny, and I intend no more than that in passing this on. No judgements, nothing.

I missed that thread and it just popped up on a news site I watch.

Judging from the reaction to the first thread and mine, it wasn't maybe as funny as I thought. But then, my Great-Grandparents were Jewish so I follow the thought process and the lingo.

We are more alike than we want to admit and the bickering over politics is no good.

So what if Sen Obama is measuring the drapes.
We here as typical Americans shouldn't be beating each other up over it.

We're all Americans, and unfortunately, the poilitcs right now is effing our entire country, which tends to bring out the worst in everyone. It's becoming a fight for yourself / screw the other guy society.

I can assure you that I am as concerned about this election as anyone here

I am normally a fairly dispassionate individual, I try to weigh all sides of an issue and not assume a dogmatic position from the get go. In that sense, I have been a Registered Democrat, Republican and now an Independent.

This particular election, in my personal opinion, is the most important choice of a leader since the beginning of the Cold War. Also in my opinion, it has turned into a terrible circus and I am about to take off my Clark Kent suit and put on my Super GeezerMan suit. I can sling sh#t as good as anyone on this Forum.

Now I have spoiled my own thread and shame on me.
