terrible, terrible day
terrible, terrible day
i dont know if any of you guys play guitar, but heres a heart breaker.
i bought a blue les paul last year, and fell in love with it. if your a musician you'd understand what i mean.
i wrote many many songs on this guitar, and its literally been in front of at least a thousand people. it was my baby.
well i get home today after school, and my sister tells me her son pulled it off the wall and it snapped at the neck.
ive been sulking all day, i feel terrible. it feels like a good friend has passed away.

no definitely not the cheapest to fix.
list price is $1,082 but i bought it for 649.
it was brand new when i got it, and still is. well it was.
and yeah i was pissed off, she has the money. it was on a rack on my wall, and he pulled off a belt that she put there and it pulled my guitar off and it snapped.
i was pissed today. i slammed my door so hard i knocked my window off kilter and had to pull the door apart to fix it.

I understand man, Les Paul is a nice axe and yours is the color scheme I like; never cared for the reddish orange much.
Im touchy about my clarinet and guitar (yes I play clarinet fockers, it got me a good music scholarship my freshman year so shut up
) but I think my banjo is the instrument I really care about. Someone could steal my guitar or other things that I have and I'd be pissed, but if someone stole my truck or my banjo, I'd come unglued.
Good luck fixing it; I'm sure there are replacement necks available. Let me know how it goes

Sweet guitar. I see it's an Epiphone (I kind of prefer those over Gibsons, just seem to play better for me, not counting the uber-expensive custom shop jobs), so if it is a bolt-on neck, it's saveable, just change them out. If it is a set neck, then just leave it broken and get a new one, man. Intonation will never be the same. Sorry to hear about the bad news!
ouch man ! Thats harsh ! I know what you mean about it not being the same man, thats tough. Don't worry though man, all thats in front of you is bigger and better. Keep it goin. Let us know what happens
i have a les paul studio thats a bolt on neck, but my les paul custom is a set neck. and yeah intonation wont ever feel right again. im going to fix it for sentimental reasons, but other than that, shes history.
dankle, personally i play everything from rock to country to metal.
but my band plays power pop. its a catchy version of punk, you'd have to hear to see what i mean though. hard to explain.
im trying to not be so beat up over it but its a pretty crappy feeling. i have other guitars but they each mean alot to me, its an empty feeling. im not a very materialistic person but this sure got to me.
heres a couple more pictures of it. just to show you how beautiful this guitar really is

the last crowd this guitar saw.
