wow I missed this thread. That happend to one of mine. A pearl Epiphone by Gibson that I had rebuilt with a strat type bridge because the floyd rose disentigrated (never use liquid wrench on a floyd rose)
anyhow, it was standing in my closet temporarily and I opened the closet door and it gently fell over on the padded **** carpet .. but it went snap.. my heart broke man I can not describe how it felt other than it was like finding your dog in the road lying down if you know what I mean.
Well I happen to have some Kent clear epoxy that comes in a cartridge tube. I went right to work at it with that stuff. I managed to get all the wood exactly set back before the epoxy dried. Well long story short it worked, well enough to play it. That Kent Clear bond epoxy dries hard once it sets. Im still bummed about the neck and have other guitars but I figured I would share my story and maybe you could try to fix yours well enough to play at home anyway..

BTW this repair is about three years old now. that guitar's picture is posted here somewhere too.

plays great, but has the same bridge issues I had before it fell. The bridge just needs replacing all together.
I said I put a fender style bridge on it, well that is only half true. What I did was kept the original FR bridge but made a block out of aluminum billet to go in place of the tremelo unit. Drilled it out to fit and made string retainers.

It has complete adjustability for length and height. I have never taken pictures but if you are interested I can get some macros and post them.

From: Georgia on my mind...
I got tired of messing with the Strat trem. I put five springs in it and blocked mine off, the tuning is a lot more stable. And I think it sounds better with the bridge solidly against the body.
