Oh and a turbo probe can't hold a candle to one of those cars. I know, I have a 91 Probe GT.
No kidding.

Had a 1990 TSi AWD that I bought new-working for Chrysler at the time. Car was a lot of fun and I had one problem with it {well 2, but the 2nd one was not the cars} and that was a bad exhaust gasket. In the 90k I put on the car, I did notice it ate tires....6 sets during that time...but then it might have been me also.

The problem that killed it was the wife {well, wife to be at the time} sunk the car.....flooded viaduct and lots of rain... Her excuse? "Honey, it has 4 wheel drive.." Ouch

Woof
