Still going down - oil is around $106 now. Gas has been spotted for $3.07 in OKC.

Per Bloomberg, gasoline futures have fallen today 6% to $2.54 and falling like a rock. All energy across the board is headed own. Cushing Spot is down almost 10% and falling, Dated Brent Spot is at $99.00 and has fallen 4% today alone. Natural gas is falling and electricity is falling. Heating oil futures are down to $2.95 gallon. It's a bubble and speculation are the reasons for the high prices you heard yesterday. I still think you'll see gasoline at Christmas for $2.50 gallon. Don't see the farm yet, Martha!

And you folks in Atlanta, you need to be on the phone to your Congressman. The Energy Department says there are no distribution pipes down or at partial capacity because of the hurricanes. You're hearing a bunch of BS- call your Congressman.

Because the distributors in your area saw this coming and took the threat seriously - and stockpiled gas. Not only that, but I'm guessing that a lot of stations are still closed due to no electricity, hence the 20 minute line.

As critical as electricity is you would think more businesses would invest in a backup generator to keep the money flowing since it would pay for itself quickly.
Natural gas generators are trouble free...

Most gas stations these days are company owned and operated. The companies have plenty of other outlets around the country for their products, they aren't going to invest in things like generators when the lack of electricity in a certain area isn't affecting their overall business.

Oil has dropped $10 just today, so far. Markets are being affected by the bailout vote.
