These donations are always appreciated. I'm a regular suporter of cheritable organizations. From MAke a wish, to cancer treatments for people at UAMS.
A dollar here and there, plus I make Corporate donations.
Just don't be fooled by the bogus charities. If you are not familiar with a charity asking for dnation, do a short research of said charity before you donate. Many of the telemarketer type donations more money goes to their expenses than the type donations volunteers collect. Always get a receipt, That is the first way of weeding ot the ones that are not beneficial to the true organizations.

I was in a store the other day that was sponsoring a make a wish for a little girl who had a serious medical problem. I was in line waiting to check out and the cashier asked the person in front of me if he would like to donate one dollar to the make a wish foundation, the man replied "I don't want to donate to that bulls**t" got his receipt and walked out. I walked up and apologized to the cashier for the guys attitude (I didn't even know him).

My Ex Girlfriend had Kidney failure and lost both of her kidneys when she was about 13 years old. All through high school including the three years we dated she had to hook up to a dialysis machine every night at the same time. As long as work or lacrosse was not in the way i was by her side the whole time. She was always in so much pain but always kept a smile on her face and always cheered people up. One day she was visiting her sister and her mom calls me and i remember her exact words; "Drew, can you get to Children's Hospital? Kimberly finally got a kidney". Of course i raced down there and was by her side. Luckily the operation was successful and she is very healthy still to this day.

Last summer she got her make a wish because she had not turned 19 yet. Her wish was to take a cruise to the Caribbean. She got the wish granted and i had never seen her so happy in my life, her life had finally made a turn for the good.

Sorry for rambling on about it all but the point of the story is that if you get asked to donate to the Make A Wish Foundation please please do, its one dollar and it will make a kid anywhere from the age of 7 to 18 so happy...please its just one dollar. I am a poor college student, still i would rather see a little kid be the happiest he or she has ever been.

Have a good weekend guys.

Great reminder of how if everyone just chips in a little we can make someone else a little happier down the road. Glad you ex girlfriend got her cruise, and glad to hear that the member whose sister was ill is doing good and is successful.
