New Compressor/Air Tool Question
If you do any woodworking, any decent sized nailer will (should) work for you too. I've run a 'borrowed' big *** 8p nailer's to my little 1.5" stapler, but I use the stapler the most..
I've got the Crapsman 15 gallon job with the loud *** 'oil less' motor, but for the weekend user, it's all you really need... If you use it week in and week out, then you will probably kill it pretty quick, and yes, any constant flow air tools won't really work well with it... I can kill the tank pressure within a minute or so just using the air blower attachment set on 90 psi and then the motor kicks in and will only maintain minimal pressure at best...
I also use it to blow out my travel trailers water lines.. Just set the psi to around 40 and blow out the low point drains and it's ready for winter without having to use any of that nasty RV antifreeze in the lines!
All my Crapsman tools have been fine for my intended use of them, and that's only the weekend user... If my livelihood depended on my tools, I'd be using something else for sure!
Happy air tooling!

Hell, HF tools are fine for the occasional user. Yes, they are cheap. Yes, they are generally crap. But, they are SO cheap it's worth it if you won't be using it much. I paid 20 bucks for an 18 volt drill kit with a flashlight, battery, some bits, and charger. Works fine for light use. If I have some heavy work to do, I borrow my son-in-law's Milwaukee.
I am a weekend user, and disagree with all the 'crapsman' comments. Yes, its not SnapON, but they are also not 300 dollars for a screw driver
I love all my craftsman tools. I also like my Harbor Freight tools. The angle grinder I got there works good, as with the cutting tool I bought there. My tire chuck and blower are great as well.
If you want tools that will last forever, spend the thousands on snapon and mac, and stuff like that. Otherwise, buy what you can afford as it will more than likely work just perfectly for what you want to do with it.
and that is my $.02 on it
