USC Vs. Ohio State...Official Thread?
Bush isn't half bad though. Not nearly the show stopping, one man team he was at USC, but still, not a bad product from the USC. Holdin his own I'd say.
Palmer.... ????? I think Palmer is a great QB suffering on a team with "issues" . Even after having his knee completely blown out, I would still say he's not half bad.
And whats it matter ? Those guys get you in the spot light (offense that is)
but
DEFENSE is what wins ya championships !
I'm in TN for school, but I'm an LSU fan born and bred.
It's called the BCS, and that's what D-I plays under. The AP went off the reservation, as the next year they dropped out of the BCS formula. The weasel Pete Carroll was sure to pick-up that "championship" though. The class act would have been to say that LSU was the champs that year, as won by the system, the BCS.

I'd love to see a USC/LSU matchup at the end of the season, put an end to this whole debate.
Good win for the Trojans! # 1
Would be sweet..... put those Tigers down !

ummm yeah, USC won their share of the National Championship by votes from coaches around the nation. And I'm pretty sure Pete didn't vote for his team, and he sure as heck didn't go out whining and begging for votes. To say Pete, one of the most energetic, nicest, and winningest coaches in the nation is a weasel is ignorant.

After defeating another highly ranked team, Michigan, in its final game, the AP Poll kept USC at #1 while the Coaches Poll was contractually obligated to select the winner of the BCS game, Louisiana State University (LSU), as the #1 team. The resulting split national title was the very problem that the BCS was created to solve, and has been widely considered an embarrassment[5].

I stand corrected
Thats right, now I remember, there was talk that the coaches would go against the standard and vote for USC, that was what Pete was against. my bad.
^^ I forgot to mention Justin Fargas by the way, good USC back looking to have a good year with the Raiders...

USC looks pretty unstopable this year. I'm an LSU alum and I bleed purple and gold but i'll call it like I see it. If we had a QB (idiot trouble maker perriloux...) then I'd say we'd be right up there with them, but we dont. At best we have a makeshift QB party unfortunately.
That and I really don't have too much confidence in Les Miles. He needs to coach those boys so they learn not to lead the SEC in penalities every year.
All that said, OSU and the Big-10 is so overrated it's ridiculous. OSU struggles vs what basically was a HS team. Michigan gets spanked by Notre Dame who lucked out to win vs another HS team.
The PAC-10 isn't that much better which is the only gripe I have against USC. They play maybe 1 decent team a year and that annoys me. LSU is going to play 4-5 teams that were in the top 10 over the course of the year and they dont even have the toughest schedule in the SEC.
I dont want to take anything away from USC but they wouldnt go undefeated in the SEC, it's a miracle if anyone ever does.
USC probably is the best team in the country but I just wish they played a few teams over the course of the season that were decent. No OSU doesnt count, neither does UCLA (did anyone see BYU run all over them?), or CAL (sup maryland), or Oregon (Purdue choked)...

yeah, ryan screwed everyone with all the trouble he was pulling. holiday is an EXPLOSIVE package that auburn better watch out for...
as far as how the tigers are doing this year... it sucks... i haven't go to see them play yet. im in new mexico and they haven't been nationally televised... YET
the auburn game.....THAT'S what i'm waiting on. auburn better be glad it's not in the valley

I admit we'd have a tougher time in the SEC, but lets not go so far as to say they wouldn't go undefeated. I'd say they'd have a good shot at it this season.
How hilarious was that BYU game? Hope the Trojans can match that or maybe top that?
