I do forget, and I know I need to be reminded. One gets caught up in the joy life as we should, but it is good/sobering/chilling to remember. Thank you for reminding me. I have been watching the news this evening, and not one reminder, why? We need to remember...

I remember. I was at work that morning when my mom called and told me. I ran to the breakroom and fired up the 19" tv and rabbit ears to watch the madness unfold. The boss locked the doors and we all crowded around the tv to watch.

God Bless America, those who died innocently and those who died trying to save total strangers.

Unfortunately, it is easy to forget. Which is why its good to be reminded. I was in upstate NY when it happened, at work at a Navy Nuclear training site. All non-essential personnel were told to go home, they'll call when we can come back. It took about 10 days, before we were allowed back. Two weeks after it happened, I made the trip down to NYC. There wasn't much I could do, but I had to go see for myself. It really reaffirmed my decision to join the military.

I know I'll take some heat for this, but here goes. On the next day, Sept. 12, 2001, no one in this country believed that would be the only attack. Nobody, thought we'd go the next 7 years without another attack. Most of us thought it would happen within 1-2 years. We have been safe due to the leadership of our President. People try to make him out to be some warmonger or a buffoon, but over look his leadership then and what he's done for us. For that, I think he's done an excellent job.

You will get no heat from me BennyHanna. Thank you for your service. President G.W. Bush will go down in history as a great president. Even though I don't agree with every thing he did. He did try to get along with democrats after all......
