sweet pic. humm if you got land to shoot i might have to head out there and shoot it up with ya. 500 yards? i know the sights on the nagant go that far but can you hit stuff? lol that sounds like a funn time. maybe a weekend i go to grand valley or somthing ill take my guns with me. ill let you know when i go prob wont be for 4-5 weeks thoe.

 

i think the longest i can shoot on my property is about 250 yards there is a open field in front of me that you could get 500-600 easily. my .308 howa can hit pop bottles all day at 500 yards. the nagants are a little different. but i bet if you had good ammo it wouldn't be to hard. most of the surplus ammo was meant for machine guns and the powder varies in each bullet

nice. yeah the surplus rouns are kinda crappy...i keyholed 5 shots at 100yards open sights. .308 and 7.62 is about the same size. the frist sighting on my nagant is 100yards lol and for some reason it goes to 2,000? haha wishful thinking i guess. i wish i had the sniper scope for my nagant. maybe ill buy a few packs of some good rounds and will see what we can hit with it. ive had a few of the surplus rounds crack the casings. the round fired fine but when i looked at the casing there was a hole in the side of it...ahh crappy rounds. haha and one of them i pulled the bullet right off the casing i didnt have to get pillers or anything. yeah i think ill have to let you know when i go to grand valley so we can shoot it up. how are ammo prices around you?

yasend me a message next time you come up. the ammo prices here continue to rise. i bought about 1200 7.62x54 when it was cheap i paid 35$ for 440 rounds. i wish i would have bought more.

Nice are the 2 at the bottom the M44's? No bayonet's with the 44's? i know there the shorter ones. looks SWEET My nagant is the lamanite one its a bunch of wood stacked on each other looks cool. im looking into getting a reload kit for my 7.62 rounds. buy some casings some, gun power and some primers i found one for 30 bucks http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=250297213981. he says i hammer the round onto the casing lol. but i guess a 10 lbs thing of gun power is like 10 bucks and the rest of the stuff is pretty cheap

 

the bottom 2 are m44s, they have the bayonets. m38 dont have bayonets. the top to are hex recievers and are dated 1923 and 1926. ive been trying to find some of the ex snipers or the German made nagants but they are hard to come by at dunhams. i want to buy a progressive press but they cost a few hundred just for the press alone with none of the dies.

 

yeah i like this kit because theres no press needed. it will prob take a lil bit to make rounds but hey i got nothing to do all day so ill just crank out some 7.62X54R rounds. whats the max grains i should but in these rounds? i normaly get the 180Grain rounds but if i make my own i can change that but i dont wanna blow my gun up lol. and ill make you some to before i head out there. says you can make rounds for pennies... donno bou all that but ok ive never seen one of the hex ones. you got lots of stripper clips? i got 3 of them i love those things lol. i was looking on Ebay and found a few scopes. my nagant is from 1937 so im thinkin it shot at its fair share of ****'s
