I can't stand the CCI Blazer or the Winchester. The Federal shoots much better in my gun.

CCI Blazer is junk ammo, I really like the WinClean ammo. Federal is ok, but when I go and shoot my pistol I like to put several hundred rounds through it in a day. The WinClean just makes it easier to clean afterward. I've tried to fire 400+ rounds of cheap ammo (CCI, gun show loads, etc) and eventually the unburned powder starts to "gum up" the action.

Decided I probably should pick up a RRA-AR15 like I originally wanted ...

I agree completely. There is much better ammo out there than the Federal. It's just about the cheapest I want to go on range ammo.

Really? I have never had an issue with the CCI in my pistol. Never one FTF or FTE. I am probably going to switch over to the Winchester white box since it is a little cleaner. I like to field strip my pistol and give everything a good cleaning after every time I shoot it. I do notice the build up some, but it doesn't effect the pistol's action in any way.

(damnet they moved the smilies again)

Ha. I've NEVER had a FTE or FTF in my gun, either. I can just tell a difference between the two and like the Federal much better.

I did run one box of federal through it when I first got it. I may use the WWB from now on, but if it shoots it shoots. I am not trying to spend an arm and a leg on range ammo. Now if I were to be carrying, I would want 147gr hollow points and THAT is something that I would never cheap out on because I want to KNOW that those will fire without an issue if the SHTF

I've never had a FTF or FTE either, but it does make the gun a mess to clean up.
