unfortunately i had many, many, many, family members in the camps the exact number is not known as part (the part that sired my father) emigrated here in 1936 but 90% of the family stayed in Lithuania between the soviets and the Germans the direct family was pretty well wiped out.
Name boy, label person, glad your here. Why must you label every thought and everything? Your mission in life? Your fortune cookie says elevate your thoughts to a higher conscience.
Peace

What people don't stop to realize sometimes is that their have been slaves for nearly as long as there have been people. There was always a group conquering another group and enslaving them, and color was not a part of it initially. The british were masters at slavery. They had the indentured servatude that was horrible, as well as the classes that were forced to serve the upper classes. In addition, they conquered colonies and islands and made them slaves to the mother country. That is what much of the Caribbian was for centuries. Speaking of the Caribbian, you had blacks the enslaved otehr blacks and even had cannibals. As has been mentioned, the Germans enslaved their own people for the "good of the Riech". Look what the British did to the Irish.
Yes, slavery is wrong and it needed to be abolished, but, in this country, it is the only time in history where the enslaved keeps demanding that the former enslaver "pays" for past sins with seemingly no end. A man should be recognized as a man regardless of his color. He should likewise have no entitlements, regardless of color

Anyways, I've already got what I wanted out of this thread. Although you are right to a degree. It's hard to argue with someone who won't change his mind or skip off the path he has chosen. What do you tell someone like that considering nothing you say is going to change their mind?

woah!! lighten up dude! Just trying to make a funny! Sorry you didn't take it that way.. honest.
My great great Grandfather was a slave. My great Grandfather was not gassed but according to him (who showed me the spot where my ancestors first came ashore) many of my family members never survived the transit and those that did were sold separated and sent who knows where never to be seen again. He used to tell me stories of strange disaperances of many of his friends and family circle. He eventually became a farmer and worked his way up to being a pretty large landowners but lost most of the land because he was illiterate. My great grandmother was Native American.
Im lucky. Most American blacks know little or none of their family history past a generation or 2.
I could tell you many stories I have first hand knowledge of but I know you don't care and there is no point.
Old Dogg, let me hit you with some knowledge here, since it is evident you don't have much. I try to be a respectful person(I really do). I have Black family members (adoption) and (usually) am not racist. But this load of crap you are pulling out your butt is ridiculous. Yes, blacks were slaves, but what right does that give to blacks to treat us "whites" like this? As said above, many white mean were treated a thousand times worse than any slaves. Slavery was a bad thing, but they were fed, clothed and sheltered. Many blacks of that era would have rather been slaves than to be free to be hung, tar and feathered, etc. Being forced to work isn't anything compared to the Genocide that Hitler performed. I, my friend have never said a hurtful word to any black man, yet I am called out by blacks 90% of the time I see them. I truly think you are an idiot. I don't know what else to say. Blacks have been acting like the victim for centuries. It's time you grew up and became men. I lost alot of respect for you. I also had family in concentration camps.
"Understanding the past not ignoring it is the key to making the present and future better.
Jews know this about the holocaust. Rarely ever hear anyone tell a Jew to get over it. They are still hunting down people aren't they?"
It was really a compliment of Jewish attitudes towards the past.
I also have never intentionally racially insulted anyone of any race. If you thought you read anywhere I said whites deserve anything I guess you didn't understand.
My Father worked 2 full time jobs 30 years as a postman and a waiter (finished high school), my Mother (college educated) worked in banking 67 years retired at 87 years old.
We never needed any government assistance, we never needed reparations.
That's great. So if you made it, than it can be done, without this assistance and reparations. Don't you think if we didn't have this kind of stuff going on and more of what your family did for itself, people would have less hostile feelings? I do.
One of the few posts I totally agree with you. Your a smart man and have many good insights. But this one is a keeper. Now the exception. If you family can do it, why can't all the others? Hard work and determination will over come almost every obstacle. With NO excuses. the victom mentality, and the retalitary mentality brought on by the hip hop/rap culture does more to keep black people down than anything.. a close second is people wanting to be labled as "african American" or japanese American" and the such. If we are a citizen, we are AMERICAN! period. Enough with the labels that show our differences.
Still pissed off at you, just don't hate you as much for the comments you made the other day.
Oh man bringing this thread back, this was a ticking time bomb from the first post, can't believe it somehow managed to not get locked
Yeah, I got one of my favorite/hated sigs from this thread.
