Intro: Mudpro's 2008 Lariat

I just purchased a 2008 Lariat yesterday, registered today and intorducing myself. My name is Bill, I live near Anapolis, MD, my hobbies are off-roading and photography. In addition to the new Lariat, I own a highly modified 2005 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited.

The F-150 will be my tow rig for the Jeep as I criss-cross around the country to business related trade shows and off-roading events.

I was planning on holding out for a new 2009, but after Ford delayed the release I kept a very close ear with a few dealers on any deals they might be offering. I picked up this little baby for $12K under MSRP (incl rebates). It is my second F-150, my 1988 XLT lasted me over ten trouble free years.

haha, I was thinking of that movie "Jersey Girl" when Aflek asks the kid that.

I hate to say it, but there is no way that truck is staying stock while you are a current member here on f150online.com. Its simply illogical and incomprehensible! Hold on to your wallet...

Nice pics. Nice truck.

Welcome. As soon as you read some threads in GD you may want to run away, but dont worry there are plenty of subforums up north to escape the stupidity.

aw c'mon JB you know I'm just having some fun at your expense

and as far as size goes there is need, and there is want. Want is usually bigger

there is no stupidity in GD

except when talking politics, women, trucks, mods............

What. You want me to show off my Jeep!?!

Thought you'd never ask!

Just after installing lift:

Just a little stretch of the legs, nothing serious:

Thank you. It is my third Jeep.

When I got my first one I was too young and too broke to buy anything other than a beater or able build it correctly, but I learned alot from "making due" and fixing a lot of stuff as it broke.

My second one was only a couple of years old when I got it . I was a little older and money was a little more available. But it was my daily driver so I never really wanted to go whole-hog on the build or on the trails.

I got this one for my 50th birthday and have put the best of everything into it. suspension was designed by one of the jeep engineers on the TJ development team who went out and started his own company with the intent to modify a TJ the way he would ahve if the pencil pushers at jeep had let him. He recently retired and sold his company (Nth Degree Mobility)to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), one of, if not "the" primiere builder in the country.

One of AEV's other creations, the "Brute. Made from a TJ unlimited with a conversion kit:
