I will be watching women's gymnastics. Not that I am a big fan of that sport, but Shawn Johnson from West Des Moines, Iowa should do well. She seems like a young lady that has it together!! There has been a lot of hype for her in Des Moines and very justifiable. GO USA!

For whatever reason, I have little to no interest in this Olympic Games... I don't know if it's because it's in China, or if it's because I have lost my faith in the athletes in all of their 'doping' deals... I heard that a good number of 'Olympians' from all over, have had to withdraw already, because they tested positive for whatever banned drugs are out there...

Now I'm finding out that the 'doping' thing has been going on for quite some time, so even when I was enjoying the games, it was all under false pretense....

I've lost interest in all PRO sports in general too... I watch NASCAR, but even that is becoming very tiring and you can't turn around and not see some show about it! Enough already!

Oh, I'm rambling now and totally off topic... In the end, I'm sure I'll watch some hight lights and keep up with the medal count. I'm actually more interested in seeing how much of a success or flop the games as a whole are going to be! Now, that's bad....

...then curling in the winter!
Ha, ha!! I watched that too!! I have no idea why, but I found it entertaing for some reason! I catch it every now and then on that Canada cable station, CBC or something.... I even saw some "How it's made" show and they showed your the process of how the stones are made... Wow, a lot of manual work goes into each one of those!

Yeah, that's just nuts! I used to live in Los Angeles in the late seventies, so this was still when vehicle emissions were 'young' and there were still more vehicles without emissions then had them and the smog was terrible then! I remember times when school recess had to be 'indoors', because of the smog alerts. Your lungs actually hurt when you breathed deep.

I like how the China government tried to limit the smog by banning the use of vehicles and closing down a bunch of factories... Like that's going to erase any measurable amount of smog....
