I would love to watch the Tae Kwon Do teams but the stupid networks do not seem to want to show it.

I do not intend to watch any of it, it bores me stupid. I think in a way its partly because of all the hype prior to the games & sadly sooner or later (maybe because or sour grapes) someone will allege drug use (or something) which will take months to clear up with all the legal wrangling. Its just like the election stuff I am sick of it & will be glad when its over!

Naturally mens basketball is the highlight.

THe womens bball team looks to be pretty dominate too. Everyone has to like the 100, 200, and 400 meter races in track and field. But as a guy, I derive enjoyment watching the girls volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and diving. Dont forget about Phelps and his quest to win more golds by himself than most countries will win combined.

Volleyball may seem weird but I remember studing for a calculus final years ago and turned on the tv at like 2am and saw the brazilian indoor volleyball team jumping around in those spandex shorts... It was an epiphany.

Anyone know of a link to the video of the opening ceremony. I missed it and everyone I talked to said it was fantastic. I googled to no avail.

I enjoy watching the Olympics....it's neat watching competitors from all over the world.

I personally couldn't care less about men's basketball, or basketball in general, but I do enjoy watching some of the hot foreign chicks in volleyball bikinis, etc.

And what's up with the full body swimsuits for the women??? Are they swimming or scuba diving? I miss the high waist line one-piecers sporting a camel toe

This is the next best thing until hockey season starts again.

Did anyone see the men's U.S. beach volleyball duo get beat 2-0 by Latvia???

U.S. was the #1 seed coming in and just got beat by the #23 seed (2nd to last I believe). The big tall guy for the U.S. played terrible. You could tell his partner, Rogers I think was his name, was extremely PO'd by his performance.

Yeah I'd like to see that too, plus boxing and weight lifting. But no, it will be all swimming, water polo, volley ball and other assorted boring garbage. I have given up on the Olympic coverage.

Sorry cope but I just don't dig the volley ball.

They had weightlifting on this morning. Lots of women performing the clean and jerk.

I love the olympics....and Stealth, one of Burleson's own is on the womens Volleyball team. Stacy Sykora, http://www.nbcolympics.com/athletes/...bio/index.html. We graduated in the same class. She was one heck of an athlete...played Volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country...but she wasnt as good looking as she is now...

I've got to say.... I'm pretty much addicted to watching Olympic coverage...

I was watching badmiton yesterday and actually found myself interested... I guess it's just all about competition for me.

I know I said I wouldn't watch much, and that's still true... On the network broadcast...

go to http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/index.html and you will find video of must all the other non televised events and some even are live stream if you catch it in time.

To add to Mitch's post - If you're a Directv subscriber, they have several temporary channels established that are showing LOADS of additional coverage. Check out channel 750 through 760 (or there abouts)...
