Favre should just end it...I know it is tough for him to say good bye, but it is over. Green Bay obviously wants him gone, so just take the hint..He can join the FOX crew..From what I have read that retired NFL players really have a tough time retiring from the game, they are also a very high statistic of suicide. All they know is football, they have been playing since they were very young and almost thier entire life and then in thier middle thirties thier career is over just like that and they really struggle with it. This sounds a lot like what Favre is going through.

he is going to play somewhere else just like Montana went to the cheifs. This wont be the first time this has happened.

It must be so tough having millions of dollars and retiring in your 30's!!!! Man I feel sorry for him.

Dave don't be stupid. The money has nothing to do with it. Favre loves the game too damn much is his problem. Favre isn't like most football players. The guy wears jeans and t-shirts and drives a lifted F150. Not too many stars can say that ... So, so much for him only caring about the money and materialistic things.

Ya, poor guy. The only offered him 20 Million over 10 years to stay retired. What unfair treatment to a man who has done so much for Green Bay.

Actually he was driving a red Escalade on the news today. They showed him pulling into some parking lot and talking to security.

I liek the guy and think he was a great football player but I DO NOT feel sorry for him one bit. Being 38 and have millions must really suck. He has no idea what it is like to live in the real world and have real problems. Professional athletes are freaking pre madonas. Waaaa Waaaa Waaaaa

That's not that expensive of a vehicle. It's still not a Bentley. The guy has enough money, that's why he didn't take it, money could never buy him the happiness he gets when playing football. Favre is one of the few.

I'm just glad a deal with Minnesota didn't come to fruition. Being born and raised in the Twin Cities, it is genetically programmed into my being to despise anything remotely connected to the green and gold. I don't think I could have stomached seeing Favre trot out onto the field wearing my beloved purple jersey!

Fixed that one for you, I can see your side of the story though..... But Favre is NOT the great blue collar dude the media has portrayed him as.

Good, I'm sick of hearing about him, and I'm sure the Packers are REALLY sick of it.

Maybe he should have thought about this before he decided to have his tearful retirement announcement. He could have gone out on a good note....now many fans, Packer fans especially, dislike him and now he's going to go down in history as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play the game, but also the QB that came out of retirement only to leave his beloved team and fans
