How are they suppose to get a job ? Most are talkin to them selves constantly, in some sort of mentaly ill state of mind, dirty as chit, smell, and have ratty clothes. You gunna hire a nasty bum who walks into your place ?

That all the majoity of us spend it on as well. Ok, not ALL we spend it on, but who here doesn't self medicate in one form or the other ?
What do you want them to do ? Invest the money ? Buy a nice wall unit ? a TV ?
They are bums dude. Let them **** away money on drugs and booze, so each day is a little happier, and they live a shorter lives.

A couple of us were walking to a restraunt for lunch, before the bum on the corner could ask us for spare change I asked him" I'm two bucks short of a hooker, could you help me out?" He whipped out several bucks for me so fast, I took it and as we walked away, we could hear him ranting about cheap blow jobs etc. On the way back from lunch I gave him back the money.

 

they can go to the labor pool and work for pay on a daily basis doing construction dirty work like digging ditches and stuff like that. And they can get clean if they wanted to. All it takes is a lake or water spicket and a bar of soap. We also have a huge shelter down town that is free and is designed to help bums get back into society. They even treat drug addictions there.

 

I just started working in downtown Fort Worth, TX...thinking there would be bums all over the place...only a select few (thank god)...had one tell a friend and me we were going to hell because we wouldnt give him a cig...lol.


funny story...I got lost in houston one time, found a gas station and went to ask the attendant, guraded by bullet proof glass, how to get to the highway...as I walk back to the truck a bum asked for change for a "bus" ride (2 in the morning) I hit my pockets(not realizing I had 2 dollars in pennies in there) he heard and went "awww" so I grabbed a handfull of pennies and handed it to him...he said "thats it" I said, if you want I will take them back....he ran off..

 

that doesnt apply to every single one of them. in idaho i ran into a guy who's wife basically raped him legally. wound up on the street with nothing and she got it all. actually, he was my neighbor at one point lol

 

It pisses me off when bums interrupt me when I am on the phone. WTF? Don't these tards have any social grace?

 

We always have a bum at the off ramp near my work. He always has a sign saying "homeless, need food" The funny thing is the guy has been there for five years. It is one of the busiest offramp/intersections in the state. I think this one is a scam.

 

Chuck a can of creamed corn out the window at him as you go past.

On several occasions now when I've been approached by pan handlers I asked them if they could spare some change before they had a chance to say anything. The dumbfounded look on their face is priceless.

 

If I were a bum I sure as hell wouldnt live in Canada. I woudl find a way to get south. I couldnt imagine surviving a winter in Canada living on the streets.

We have some pretty tough bums up here, but then we lose a few to exposure every winter as well.

 

so over here in south korea, right outside the gates of Osan, there are two bums... I think they score pretty darn good from all the drunks walking back to base at midnight. Anyways, one night they both dressed up in tuxedo's and begged. Laughed my **** off!

 

Well
#1 I spend my own money on booze.
#2 Most bums also spend my money and yours on food and housing.
#3 They ask for money trying to get me to feel sorry for them because they can't get a job.

Like another guy said....I would be more likely to give money to a bum if they are asking for money for drugs/booze.

At least they are being honest.
