That would definitely explain why the problem disappeared when my hard drive crashed. No cookies left. I tried deleting all my cookies prior to my hard drive issues and that didn't solve the problem though. I think I had a few that were corrupt and I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them, I don't really recommend the whole hard drive replacement thing!!
