I'm a registered Independant. I've only voted for one republican, and for all of his faults, I know I made the right decision.

I've never voted for a democrat. I was more like them when I became old enough to vote but there was something that told me that they didn't represent my beliefs. I was more an advocate for a multiple party system. I have since come to the conclusion that the only way for there to be more viable parties, they must start at the bottom and work their way up. I want to see them on town councils and working their way from city hall through to the congress, or other useful experiance, before they are running for president of the United States.

The republican brand is on shakey ground. It's not just republicans though. People are getting tired of politicians taking advantage of the positions that we elect them to. The entire political system in this country is on shakey ground the way I see it.

I live conservatively. I conserve. I am a conservative. I believe that we should all live conservatively and would like our representatives in our government to be conservative. There is always big price to pay for being liberal. Liberal with handouts or liberal with bailouts. What is the price to pay for being conservative? Conservative with government spending or conservative with entitlements?

Well what I do know, is that you are voting for Obama, because you like his Socialist social policies. I doubt that it has anything to do with race. If you want a balanced discussion, tell us what you REALLY see in him...

If the vote is close, your right I am afraid.. but I think obama will loose in a landslide not seen since the mondale massacre. This idiot will self destruct soon.

How in the hell can there be a balanced discussion when obama supporters won't stand up and explain why obama's policies are good? You try to balance things by saying "well look what this republican did".. and roul can only make jokes. And nucluar54 is hiding in a corner somewhere being the idiot he is. How about talking the issues? That hasn't happened yet. I am sure we anti obama people would LOVE to talk issues with you few obama supporters.

I respect a lot of what you say, but I have to say this...(hear me out), I am starting to get the feeling that maybe even you don't realize how much you come off as an Obama supporter, and NOT someone "in the middle." Every political post you make seems to be either a jab at something republican based, or a defense of Obama. My point is, you may claim one thing, but I think to many your actions are speaking another thing.

Just something to be aware of.

Oh, and FWIW, I'm not in the McCain loving side either. I, like many, have no candidate that makes me want to get excited and proclaim one thing or another...but I do know that without a second of hesitation that Obama would be worse for what this nation is supposed to stand for than McCain.

"tell us what you REALLY see in him..." Nothing. I thought I said that already. Now I could lie and make up some stuff, but I'm a compassionate guy. - Og
