bass boats
Ranger and Champion are the best bass boats available. This boat is one heck of a deal for somebody complete with a Mercury EFI. The engine would just about bring the asking price and tons of extras. The boat appears to be extra clean too. And, it's tow truck is a Ford, can't beat it!
There are LOTS of good brands of bass boats Bass Cat, Triton, Skeeter just to name a few. One of the best boats for the money would be the Stratos/Javelins. There's a 95 Stratos 278FS 95 150 Evinrude in the Boats4Sale page on BBC. The boat is in Katy, TX and they are asking $7500. That's not a bad deal.
Jeez, I wished you hadn't brought up Javelin Boats. The first ones were a design by Jim Wynne and my dad was the proud owner of hull number 00001. I spent two weeks helping to design the hull learning fluid dynamics down at Three Rivers, Texas. The hull was capable of 70+ mph with a 60 HP engine. My dads boat was the test boat with a 60 Gale engine. That's where I learned how to mod the OMC V4 and his boat would crack 70 mph which was all but unheard of back in the 60's. I don't think Javelin is around anymore. You'd talked about chine walk, shoulda takin'a ride in my dads boat- WHOA! It was a lot like a friends Checkmate that I modded his twin Evinrude V8s. You can only run WOT on a dead calm day as there is no boat in the water- it's literally flying on a cushion of air leaving only prop wash. The Javelin had soft chines making it easier to walk.
