Mouring A Man In Blue

We lost a fine young man this weekend during a traffic stop. Great man, great person, great father, great cop. God bless him and all of our LEA's, as well as their families.

Uhg, and some people oppose the death penalty. I'm all for cruel and unusual punishment for douche bags that do this.

Not to be off subject, but LEA? I always heard them called LEO... what's the diff?

Rest In Peace brother. We'll take it from here.

The Final Inspection

The policeman stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek? To My church have you been true?"

The policeman squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent, Because the streets are awfully tough.

But I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place among the people here.
They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much but if you don't.....I'll understand.

There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod.
The policeman waited quietly for the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, policeman, you've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets, you've done your time in hell."

two wrongs don't make a right.... I am pretty bias on the death penalty... The fact that there COULD be a mistake and they COULD be innocent.. Some say, oh well they would rot in jail anyways... well... (who are we to judge the worth of someone else's life) I am seriously seriously against the death row people going on nine ten eleven appeals.. seriously.. wtf is that?

In this situation, I think God can decide. Chain him to the back of a truck and drag him from Ohio to Iowa. If he lives, set him free. If not, God decided to let him die.

I feel for you Tim. My older brothers best friend and a good friend of my entire family Missouri State Trooper Sgt Dewayne Graham was murdered on 20 March 2005. That was one day before my birthday. I found out last week the son of a bitch that killed him was still awaiting trial and it was postponed due to the judge dismissing the court appointed attorneys at their request. I can understand them not wanting to be defending the guy but ffs he's guilty with solid evidence. I want to be there when they fry that animal.

That's sad. I am one of the few teenagers out there who acutally appreciate officers and public defendants of all different jobs. I give 10% discount to all officers that come through drive-thru at my Wendy's. The FHP seem to like our combos. Just 1/2 mile from their onramp is easy access too

I hope the best for his family.

As you guys know from my posts I can be fairly liberal at times, but I absolutely cannot tolerate disrespect for cops or military personell. They are doing a job which they have been trained to do. If you don't personally respect the person, you have to respect the uniform and what they represent. Most law enforcement people are much younger than I, but I address them as "Sir" or "Mam" if I get pulled over. I still get a ticket, but they have a job to do and most of them do it! Cop killers need to be removed from the face of the earth!!!

Could have been a mistake? You make me sick. The officer was shot 4 TIMES IN THE HEAD! You say there was a mistake? You have GOT to be kidding? Tell you what, why dont you go tell his wife and kids maybe it was a mistake and maybe he is innocent... nevermind that the officers cuffs were on him when he was apprehended.

Who are we to judge the worth of someone else's life? What are you suggesting, anarchy? Let the punishment fit the crime, eye for an eye if you want to thump the Bible.

May the man that did this suffer the worst fate imaginable by any human on this earth.

Rest easy brother.

a good officer is dead and a bad criminal is alive I say even it up there is no mistake this b!tch should be fried by this weekend, as painfully as possible, and on prime time T.V. I say we bring back some of the classics for these sub human animals, boiling in oil, drawn and quartered, disembowelment, and breaking on the rack are all perfectly acceptable in my book. For some on this planet there is no punishment harsh enough including torture and death so if we put them to death maybe there will be a fitting punishment in the next life.

TimC,This hit really close to home for me since my sister works for the Twinsburg Police Department. She called on Sunday morning after she found out and was very upset. She was so upset that my mom thought something happened to my one of my sister's kids.Very sad that 3 month old daughter will never see her dad again.I heard his wife is a cop also and was supposed to go back to work today after her maternity leave. Is it true that his girlfriend was in the car with him.Man what do you do with crazy people like this.

Later Mark.
