Ever Paint a Jet-Ski/Boat?

I may be buying a friend's jet ski but it is in need of new paint as it is the classic mid 90's color scheme (teal, purple, etc...). I woudl be painting the top side of the jet-ski, not the bottom so it is gel coated fiberglass.

I was thinking of using some Marine Topside Enamel but I am unsure of how well it will hold-up down the road. I have also looked into the Marine Epoxy but that can only be brushed or rolled on so I am thinking that it will look like crap up close.

I do not want to spend a whole lot as it is a 12 year old PWC.

Any thoughts on what I can do or has anyone done this or something similar in the past? Any help would be appreciated.
