17!!!! Seriously you are just starting your life. In 10 years you wont remember her name. Get another girl. For that matter get another 4 girls. Your 17 and you dont need serious relationships yet.

I don't think you ever truly forget your first love.

As mentioned, you're young....just give it some time and you'll be fine

You mentioned that you had some problems being depressed before. DO NOT do anything stupid over a girl. As the age old saying goes, "There are plenty of fish in the sea".

In the meantime, hang out with your buds, laugh, etc, you'll forget all about her.

Nail one of her friends. She has already laid the ground work for you by telling them how good (or bad) you are. Hopefully, the odds are in your favor.

This is very true, still remeber mine. I do envy those that end up with their first love for this very reason.

Hey man, I'm going on 17 and I too am going to be a Senior this year. Me and my g/f for two years broke up like 3 months ago. I had a bad first month afterwards but now I'm talking to a few other girls and hanging out with my buds and enjoying my summer. Granted we're still friends, it annoys her that I'm not into her anymore. You shoulda seen how pissed she was when I told her I forgot her cell #.

I'm still not over my first long relationship. We talk pretty often, still "get together" every once in awhile. Still good friends.

Don't be a **** ahead. be mature, take your lumps and move on. If your a stand up guy, she'll regret it later down the road. You'll be fine man, as they say "time heals all wounds".
Just gotta find something to fill your time. When I was young, I turned to workin out, since there was not much money.
Now, still young but got money and have learned to turn wrenches to help me forget.

Oh ya, and lots and lots of nights with my friends Jack (that would be Mr. Daniels for the youngster) !

Thanks guys for all the great advice. I have done pretty good today and I'm pretty confident everything will work out alright. To hell with long term relationships....I just wanna have fun haha. And yes, Jack is a pretty cool guy. He likes to make things interesting. And fun.

For my day in age he's a little harder to find. But always there nonetheless.
