Speaking of Texas, I was just speaking to (about 30 minutes ago) the former "high constable" of Denton County?
He had some interesting stories to say the least, about Mexicans, incidents on the job, etc. Cool guy, but the accent?

He was lost, and enroute to Boston. Needless to say, he made the wrong turn

Yup, that's what he said. He covered a 200 square mile area when he was on the road (late 80's). Sounds just like the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) that cover the rural areas up here, but without the Mexicans

He gave me a little "police angel" pin

I guess I've live too long now. I've been to every town in the vid at least once. My family even settled Bulverde before Texas was a state and the land was free. Still have relatives there and the land is like gold now. My great aunt, who is still alive and kickin' backside, grew up around the Bulverde area and lived on Tabacco Road... literally. No phone, no running water, no indoor plumbing. It was a 4 room shack with one light in the middle of the hall, that's all. Now, she's a millionaire and still can out work most men. Neat vid, thanks for posting.

I didn't think so, but he was trying to be kind. He told me to love my family and kids and, blah, blah, blah. You know, typical Texan type

I miss Texas. Born in LaGrange and raised in Flatonia and Columbus then moved to Austin after school. Left in the late 80's and never been back.
I've been to maybe half the places in the video. Kept waiting to see Praha or Engle mentioned but I guess he missed those.

All I know about Texas is:

It takes 17 hours to drive through pulling a small u haul.

And the property tax is outrageous.
