AT least someone else has hit on this. What everyone fails to see... your voting in a puppet. All their promises, all their "change" they promise to bring, is complete BS. Once they are in, they will slowly reveal their hidden agenda, and their biggest finacial backers will come to light, with us seeing which group is helped the most.

look at Haloberton...

Every "evil" thing you read about Obama, there will be equally evil things written about McCain.

We need to elimnate lobbyist, we need to elminate privately funded campaigns. We need to bring a true democracy to our nation vs. the Social Republic which we live in now.

Even with black skin, folks know when you "ain't from around there"...

I grew up in Lousiana, and I went home in 2001- and my mom's washer was broke. So, I took the clothes to the laundry mat, and was washing them. After being there for a while, a young lady asked me-

Young Lady: Where are you from?
BigHersh: I'm from Waterproof (Waterproof, LA). Born & raised.
Young Lady: Oh nooooo.... You ain't from Waterproof."
BigHersh: Yes I am. I grew up down here.
Young Lady: All your life?
BigHersh: From 0 - 18.
Young Lady: You might have been from Waterproof, but you ain't from Waterproof any more. You don't carry yourself like you're one of us.

Now, I don't know how I "carry myself" aside from being respectful, having my pants pulled up, and speaking in complete sentences. But, I did that when I lived there too. But, from the time she and I began to speak, she knew I wasn't "from 'round there" anymore. So, people from certain areas can spot when you're out of your element, even with the same skin.

That was in 1997. Plano was very much like Arizona when I moved here in 1997. Arizona was worse though. I'd go to the Tucson Mall, and I could be in there an hour before I saw another black person. So, we may not show it, but- we get nervous too.

I see more blacks now, since Hurricane Katrina. And, while I knew I stuck out like a sore thumb, it didn't bother me much- until I'd go to Wal-mart at 10:0 PM, and see a gang (8 - 10) white kids hanging around the door. But, I'd be just as nervous had I walked up on 8 - 10 blacks, Asians, or Latino's just hanging around the door.

No, if you want to be scared- walk down "Telegraph" in Oakland, CA and try to get some money out of an ATM, where 5 - 6 guys are all just standing there, within 3 feet of the machine... That, is a Maalox moment right there, unless you're a police officer, and your partner has you covered.
OK time out, I have been going to the Tucson mall since the late 80's to current, and you are much more likely to see the mall flooded with Mexicans than whites, now if you were talking about the foothills mall I would agree with you, but now you are bringing a element into it that does not in my mind exist. I am as white as they come Irish and Lithuanian decent, I have lived on the s. side of Tucson most of my life until I moved to Marana I never did not go someplace at night because I was scared to. I have in-laws that live in the grant/oracle (white slum) I have friends that live in the 22nd area just east of I-10 (black slum) and very good friends that live in the Valencia/I-19/Drexel area (Mexican slum) I go there at night and it does not bother me I carry concealed but even before I did I had no problems in those areas, in my experience it is all in how you carry yourself, if you act like a victim you will be one, if you act like a a$$ you will be treated as such, if you just walk with confidence and act like you belong there generally you don't have problems.

and again we are moving away from the real issues all of the obama mama lovers want the issue to be about race so they can guilt the white people into voting for him

the obama mama haters are trying to bring up voting records affiliations to bad elements shady deals and the appearance of impropriety.

so who is really the racists

p.s. I am a truck driver and I have slept in my truck in Compton, Detroit, NYC, Chicago, Columbus, you know all the garden spots of demoncrat control Ive had my trailer broken into a half dozen times but they tend to leave the tractor with the NRA stickers alone.

Well, I was there 1990 - 1991, and Tucson Mall (That's off Oracle, right- or was that Grant- hey, it's been 17 years...?) was mostly white folks. I hardly saw any Latino's in there. But you know, neighbor demographics tend to change after a while. I'll defer to you on this, since you've lived there longer. Not that I was scared, I'm just saying- you notice things when you're in the small group that you don't notice when you're not.

At 6'2", 250 (At the time) I never had any issues.

Ever notice how, after you got your truck, you saw a lot more people with the same truck? That kind of thing, only in reverse.

Dude, you went to sleep in your truck in Compton? You must be a thrill seeker.

I've partied in the Foothills a few times... A friend of mine was dating a doctor up there. A gorgeous doctor, a financially stable 8 series BMW driving woman. But he treated her like crap (cursed her out in public, called her all kinds of b**ches, in front of everyone), and she dismissed him (rightfully so) after a few months.

She must've really like him, because as a Sepcialist (E-4) in the Army, he had nothing to offer her, with regard to security, and with a bad attitude, the future didn't look good either, for his employment.

OK, enough BS- I need to do some work today.

No, every year things spiral more and more out of control. It it is hard for me to really think about any issue that is currently up for debate that I am happy with how things are now. What makes the situation worse is the proposed ideas are equally poor or worse than the situation we are in now.

Democrats and Republicans have made it clear that as 1 nation the people are unhappy with the current state of the U.S. Regardless of who we elect change to some extent will happen. We all know both sides make promises that never come true, but I do believe both candidates are aware that things must change and plan to do so.

I have no problem with the current healthcare system. I went to a Jr College for 2 years fulltime and remained on my fathers insurance till I was 20. For the past 6 years I have paid for insurance because my company is too small to offer employee benefits. I estimate I have spent around 12k during that time to make sure I had healthcare coverage, I fail to see why others can't do the same. I have many of my friends who don't have insurance yet drive expensive cars, go out to eat, go to concerts, buy new clothing etc. They complain they cant afford healthcare, but truth is they could afford health coverage. I dont see why I should be taxed more because people want to live the good life and not budget as they should. I know some Americans simply cant afford coverage or have pre-existing conditions that make it where they are high risk and impossible to insure. Lets tax them more and allow only the group that needs it to be involved, I fail to see how this should effect me. I worked hard, made good choices and should not be taxed because some have not done the same

I agree 100%. I am sick of America wanting to help every nation that has a problem while our National debt continues to climb as does the personal debt of most Americans. We need to rebuild America, not rebuild the world.

I've slept in my truck in all of those places, and the only places I've ever felt like I was in real danger for doing it were... Camden, NJ, Philadelphia, and Miami... I never slept in my truck in NYC, or any of the boroughs; but, that was by design. I didn't want to take a chance.

Everyone thats a LIB blames Bush for the economic troubles we are having right now. It just isnt true. The economy goes through cycles and right now its at a low point just like it has been before.

I guess as a whole the economy is bad but I am doing the same as I did a few years ago. Actually even better. Yeah it sucks paying high prices for gas but it doesnt affect me as much since I have a job that pays for 90% of my gas.

I think our healthcare system is fine. If I need healthcare I go get it. I have a job and I pay insurance. If you cant find a job that has decent insurance then its your problem not mine.

I just cant stand the LIBS trying to take all the hard working americans money to give it to pointless programs to help people who cant help them selves. It should be survival of the fittest. If you cant make it in life then its your problem not mine! I dont ask for handouts and I never will.

And Hersh I am very familiar with Plano. One of my best friends lives up there and I am there just about every weekend.

I usually operate within a box...

635 is my southern border, 380 is my nothern border, Jupiter is the eastern, and Midway is the western.

But, I often find myself goign outside of that box for stuff like, kids birthday parties. Most of the people we know are scattered from Arlington to Ceder Hill, to Duncanville, to De Soto, to Lancaster.

I try to stay downtown and do for the most part. But I have a friend in Richardson and a friend in Plano so I venture outside of my box every now and then also but I keep it to a minimum.

Well, if your friend in Richardson is worth his salt, then I know he's taken you to Bone Daddy's off 75 & Alpha...

It's delicious down there...

The food is good, too...

Oh yeah! Bone daddy's is great. The one we go to is right next door to Razzoos off 75. My friend knows the manager at Razoos as well as one of the girl bartenders. We dont pay much for drinks.

The girls at bonedaddy's are 100 times better than hooters.

I was up in lewisville a couple weeks ago and went to the twin peaks up there for lunch. Its a great place! Good food too. There is one girl there that I would marry in heart beat if I could. And I hate the idea of marriage.
