Small Cars/SUVs with dual exhaust...
Basicly looks, Just like the Nissan Altima 2.5L and the Nissan Sentra Spec-V 2.5L. They are both 4 cylinder engines, They are both nearly silent, even at very high RPM's. I'm suprised the V6 Camaro's and Mustang's dident have dual exhaust...The Mustang GT dual exhaust accually sounded decent from the factory. The stock muffler was a bit restrictive though.

between the the two exhaust manifolds of a V-8.
That's how I understand it. Better balance. Could be wrong.
The Spec V doesnt have duals.

On my '06 Spec V, it was dual tips but on the same side, not separate sides.
On the Altima, it has dual chrome tipped finishers for looks, not two mufflers. One muffler. SI/DO actually.
And Manual, didnt your Escape have duals? Isnt that the height of irony?

However, it was pointless because it was still a single to dual out... no matter how you sliced it. The reason being it had a single cat system, and it was like wicked close to the engine... it was a weird setup. Even if I took the cat off, it still didn't make it a true dual exhaust.
Not to mention I lost torque... and it sound awful with a Flowmaster 40 Delta on it.
The tips on the Fusion SEL are chrome and they do look good. It's called appreance, something a lot of people are concerned about when they purchase a vehicle. We all know you don't but we all don't care, either.
Surely you're not talking about the S197 because there no gains to be had from a muffler swap on it. The factory mufflers flow very well.

Whats wrong with putting an exhaust system on an Escape? At least its not a fart can like a ricer....
Clearly you are missing the point. The install looks like manual did it himself... with his eyes closed and it is a terrible match for a vehicle like the Escape
