Digital Camo

Anybody have a .gif of .png image of the 3 color army digital camo? I'm talking 3 colors only, not a photograph of a piece of cloth where you can see the thread patterns.

Our company just bought a new truck for hauling equipment and we want to see what it would look like wrapped in the digital camo.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, no. That .jpg image has probably over 100 colors in it. The design is what I'm looking for, though...

Okay not quite sure if i have the concept but here. I went into the settings in photoshop when i saved it as a gif and it has only 3 colors in the color pallet. Maybe its right now?

You have exactly the right idea

However...

I did the same thing you did. I went into Photoshop and reduced a similar (but much larger) image to 3 colors. The problem is, Photoshop "ruffles" the edges of the camo. The image I was working with was much larger. So, I zoomed in to the max magnification and was fixing the edges "almost" pixel by pixel.

Everything was going fine until I was about 90% complete with it. Keep in mind, I have this bad habit of saving every document I work on at least once per minute.

Anyway, I'm zoomed in on this image at max mag, fixing stuff. So, I zoom out to normal view and realized that at some point, I had filled one of the three colors with one of the other colors, making it a two color camo... which looks like crap. I went back through my History in Photoshop and had made too many adjustments to the image to get back to three colors, effectively wiping out about 3 hours of work. I was a little ticked, to say the least.

Here is what I'm talking about. I took your latest image, zoomed in to the uppermost top left corner...

I then went in and fixed the "ruffled" edges.

I was just hoping someone already had one handy. I certainly appreciate the help, though.

Why do you want it in three color only?

Just curious, as digital output for a wrap isn't limited to three colors. For proofing it to check out, just reduce the size of the truck photo enough to compliment the resolution of your camo image or scan.
