Paypal is linked to a credit card. You win something on ebay, pay for it with PP, PP hits your CC.

do i have to do anything, or does paypal automaticly take the money out of my account? Ive already signed up but i have to wait 3-5 days to get the small balance they put in my checking account to verify my bank.

PP does it. I have PP linked to my debit card. So really it just takes it out of my checking account.

Once you have registered a bank account all transactions will default to the bank account unless you change to CC every transaction.

Not sure I would link it to a debit account or checking account. Say you got all your bill money and stuff in there, and some smuck does figure out how to scam your account, all your disposable cash gets taken. Link it to a credit card, if you don't have or use one, just get one and put a small allowance on it like $500 bucks or so. That way if it does get comprimised, the CC company deals with it and you are not out of all your hard earned cash....

Oh and not to sound like an ***, but your signature alludes to 'almost poser' for an undercover LE. I see in your other post about your job. Do you have a security badge? Nothing will get you a ticket faster than flashing that at a PO. Never fails I will clock a POV running well over the posted limit and before they are stopped good, the ole hand and badge roll out the window....

I always use my credit card when paying with PayPal. Not only do I earn points, I have another layer of security. I can always dispute the payment with Visa, in addition to using PayPal and eBays methods of resolution.

This is the best way to go.

I agree with the comments about using a CC for paypal payments. I have a CC I only use with Paypal or internet purchases. It has a lower limit than my other cards.
I also use a freebee checking account that I normally keep zero balance or less than 100 dollars for internet and paypal transactions.
A checking account is most helpful for selling things on the web. I just give out the wire transfer number and the money is deposited electronically. I move the money to another account as soon as it's deposited. Paypal is not quite as foolproof. They can withdraw money from your account if a dispute is filed against one of your transactions.

My PP and Ebay accounts were hacked a few months ago. PP and Ebay both locked my accounts. I got hit for something like $450. I called PP, great customer service, and got my money back in a couple days.

I don't buy much stuff off Ebay, therefore don't use PP very often. I never thought about earning "points" with your CC. I may have to change that.

What the hell are you talking about? I never once said i show a badge to cops to get out of speeding tickets. I'm not a "poser cop" or "rent-a-cop" I'm not the **** 20yr old who drives around with police or security decals all over his truck pretending to be a cop. I know im not a cop, i dont want to be a cop. I dont even carry a badge, I carry my ID card my company gave me in my wallet. Why are you busting my *****? How did i **** you off? I dont even drive my truck at work, I drive it TO work.
