Parking ticket...Was it illegal (pics)

I went by there today during lunch and took a couple pics. This is in front of my girls building where she lives. I was parked right in front of the doors. I too a picture of the sign. The ticket reads:

Loading Zone becomes no standing zone after 6 pm.

I got the ticket at 7:47pm

This ticket is only $30 but I am going down there tomorrow and fighting this. What do you think?

You'll probably burn $30 in gas driving there. I would just pay it, its not like it carries any points...

I work downtown and I would have to go to city hall. It may be 2 miles from my work tops.

Do you have a commercial vehicle or permit?

But the sign doesn't say what the ticket says, right? That's what your sayin', right? I bet they throw it out.

From what I undersatand the sign states you can not park there from 7-9am and from 4-6pm. Amd I wrong to assume that? The commercial thing is for when it is an active loading zone. NOT at 7:47pm.

Thats what I am thinking also. Just wanted to see if I was crazy for assumign that. You guys are a pretty good judge when it comes to anything so I figured I should ask before I go raise hell downtown.

The sign is slightly confusing, but I too agree you are in the right here.

Think of it like this-

The sign has three sections: white, yellow and green. The white and yellow sections have time constraints. The green section is at all times.

I'd still fight it.

Why woudl they say you can park there if its not 7-9am and 4-6pm if onyl commercial vehicles could park there? Makes no sense. Anyway here is another pic. Notice the black ford parked there during lunch time today. I have parked there at least 10 times and never got a ticket previously.

He prob has a permit.

I'm just trying to figure out why he'd give you a ticket. I think you're right.

I am going down there tomorrow and seeign what they say. I wish I could meet old meter maid Mr Castillo himself and ask him why he ticketed me.

The ticket reads "Loading zone becomes no standing zone after 6pm"
