Sucks to be Me

Alright, everyone jump on me, might as well, the old lady has. She's obsessed with her new business, says I don't support her enough but keeps saying it's her business and not my concern. Well, it became my concern this week when she needed some cash, even though she hasn't made back what she put into it when we remortgaged the house, and is into MY line of credit 'cause she can't get any. Well, she asked me to sign over a $200K bond to back her new contracts, I says N.F.L., so she says, no support, you're outa here! W.T.F? Councellor didn't work, no talking, no apology. I'm done, packing my bags, sucking it up. Losing my shirt since the house is in her name and all she says is HA HA! So much for fair play and my throwing over $30K into the house. Really sucks. Tough week. Sorry, but I have to vent somewhere.

the way i see it, if she's gonna be that way then let her go. she'll see the folly of her ways. you helped out and tried to be supportive in the beginning but when she stepped over bounds then that's when it was taken too far. let her dig her own hole.

that sounds harsh but it's reality. i feel for you but there's always that line that says enough is enough.

In the current situation you are in your gonna have to watch out for #1, being you! Don't let her drag your credit down, or gut into your line of credit!
Seek the advise of a good lawyer, you need to come away from this as intact & as whole as possible!.......Good luck!............

Yeah, like $200k, I'm sure it sucks now, but she will get the money from somebody else I bet, then they will be out that much when her buisness fails.

Sorry to hear but keep your chin up, things are looking better for you than for her!

Thanks for all your words of support, I wouldn't expect anything less from everyone here. We've been together 10 years, 6 1/2 years under the same roof. There's been ups and downs over those years, in hindsight, perhaps they were a warning of what was to come, but of course, one hopes for things to turn around and learns to forgive and forget. Sucks that it ends this way, but, life goes on with or without. And by the way, she talked her mother into signing the bond against the equity in her house. Now she just has to remortgage this place to pay me out my less than fair share of what I have into it. Damn, hindsite is always 20/20, I'd have $225K clear in my pocket if I hadn't sold my condo and moved in here with her. Now I end up with about 1/4 of that. I should be totally out of the house within the week. Packing up and moving my stuff to storage, for now. Any rich, hot, available females out there? Can't hurt to ask.....
